World Refugee Day is an international observance and opportunity to learn about refugees and how you can help them. There are currently 65.3 million forcible displaced people worldwide, over half of these are under the age of 18. Approximately 33,972 people are forced to flee their homes due to conflict or persecution everyday.
This year one of the main focuses of World Refugee Day is the UNHCR petition that will be presented at the UN High Level Meeting on Refugees and Migrant. The petition asks the Governments to support the education, housing and employment of refugees.
