Our Mission

GDLRR was started in December 2004 by a group of business women who saw a need in the Dayton Ohio area. In the last six months, they have branched out and now have numerous fosters in Columbus OH as well. Due to the popularity of the Labrador Retriever in the US and rated as AKC's most popular breed for the last 15 years, has caused over breeding.

They help to find homes for these unwanted dogs by placing them in a loving foster caregiver's home until a permanent home can be found. They feel by having dogs in a home environment, they can share information about the dog and assist in getting the dog crate trained, basic obedience, socialization skills, and housebreaking.
