The Pickens County Humane Society is a nonprofit organization filed under a 501 (c)(3), chartered for the prevention of animal cruelty. The shelter opened in 1972 to provide a refuge for stray and unwanted pets and to eliminate animal suffering and overpopulation through public education. Shelter Mission: Our mission is to eliminate animal suffering and overpopulation through education. Shelter Services: To provide a refuge for stray and unwanted pets.
