Our Impact

Families to Freedom volunteer drivers travel with children across the US taking them (and their mom) to grandma's house or aunt's house where mom can feel safe and take steps to restart. To make sure those long road trips are safe and comfortable for everyone, we provide car seats, blankets, snacks and toys. This picture was taken a day before a toddler and her mommy left North Texas for grandma's house several states away.

Two volunteer drivers transported a mom and her 5 children to Washington state to escape from a violent husband. After surviving death threats, physical violence, emotional abuse, and total financial control, Families to Freedom got the mom and her children to family far away. After the client was safely delivered, the volunteers visited some sites in Seattle before their drive back to Texas.

After driving a mom and her children to family in California, our volunteer drivers took a moment to snap a picture in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. This driver said seeing beautiful parts of California was a bonus to an already fulfilling mission. Our client was very grateful to have a personal van ride from Texas to her family's home in California where she and her children could recover from abuse.
