Our Mission

Friends of the Girl Child Network exists to empower girls in Kenya to lead and learn. We support local, evidence-based interventions that address the root causes of girls not accessing quality education. Our partners do much of their work at the community level, empowering change agents to make their own communities places where girls and boys have opportunities to succeed. But some girls need even more support. That's where Friends of the Girl Child Network comes in. Our sponsorship program bridges the gap to quality education for exceptionally vulnerable girls, primarily in Kenya's ASAL (arid and semi-arid land) regions.
