Supports compassionate care and refuge for those suffering in body and soul.
Always Mercy is currently supporting the building of a rural hospice and palliative care center clinic to help support the most marginalized medically needy in our rural area. Called Rehema Open Door, this clinic and center for palliative care services will be available to over 5 million people in its five county area once it is complete. In Kenya, over 1.5 million people suffer pain and debilitating disease needlessly, impacting their health, reducing quality of life, and their family's well-being. We mean to change that.
In 2013, a new project was launched in rural western Kenya to provide clean, safe water to families who suffered from many water-borne disease like cholera and typhoid. Over the past 10 years, Always Mercy through our dedicated volunteer, Deaconess Pamela Boehle-Silva, RN, has provided over 1,200 durable Sawyer International filter systems impacting the lives of over 12,000 people.
By providing awareness and funding for hospice and palliative care services, Always Mercy supports the medically needy of western Kenya get essential care, helping them live more meaningful lives.
