Pledge to make a difference, together.
Founded in 1984, Changing Together is a nonprofit, charitable organization operated by immigrant women for immigrant women. Changing Together helps immigrant women to develop the skills and relationships to integrate successfully to Canadian Society through a range of programs and services and by providing a safe and supportive environment.
The free services that the Centre provides include ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, family violence programs, pre-employment orientation, outreach workshops, volunteer work experience and a mentorship program. The Centre has eleven full-time staff, ten board members, three ESL instructors and more than 350 volunteers.
Beyond providing services for immigrant women, Changing Together also conducts research on a number of emerging issues particularly relevant to immigrant women. Examples include Trafficking of Women and Girls to Canada, Modern Day Foreign Brides, Immigrant Women as Volunteers and Live-in Caregivers.
