Yorktown Child and Family Centre is a fully accredited Children’s Mental Heath Centre offering a comprehensive range of mental health services for children from birth to eighteen years old and their families. Since opening as the York Township Child and Adolescent Guidance Clinic in 1951, Yorktown has been committed to creating opportunities for children and youth with emotional and behavioural difficulties to realize their full potential. Today, Yorktown Child and Family Centre is the only accredited children’s mental health centre serving families in the former city of York and has become a vital community resource for thousands of children, youth, women and families. The Centre offers more than 20 counseling and support services programs to deal with the unique and constantly changing needs of the children, youth and families in the community.
