Our Charlotte County Cancer Society was founded in 1958 yet, even after all these years, we continue to be confused with the NB Division, Canadian Cancer Society
Back then, it was felt that monies collected in our County should be used for the benefit of those around us, who found themselves in need through cancer. The late Boyd Merrill of St. Andrews was our original president: under his guidance of a dedicated group of volunteers, the society flourished: it has assisted thousands over these intervening years to help cover costs of drugs, dressings, transportation, etc.
Current Board consists of President, Blaine Holmes, Waweig; Vice President, Marilyn Hawkins, L'Etang; Secretary, Kathy Arseneau, St. Stephen; Treasurer, Winnifred Young; 2nd Vice President, Richard Smtih, St. Andrews.
