Based on the restorative justice principles of balance, healing and wholeness, Talitha Koum Society in Vancouver, British Columbia is a 17-bed organisation spread across 3 locations. We are a safe place for women who have been in conflict with society can work on the issues that have led them into trouble.
Focusing on spiritual growth through the God of each woman's understanding, the 12 steps of AA, Community services like alcohol and drug counselling, we aim to re-integrate our women back into society as productive citizens.
We accept women into our homes regardless of race, age, disability or spiritual belief, and provide them with opportunities to develop and grow into people who take responsibility for their own lives.
Staffed with qualified personnel and led by Starr Peardon, herself a recovered drug and alcohol addict previously incarcerated, Talitha Koum speaks directly to the women who seek us out and who are sent to us.
