By supporting the Looking Glass Foundation, dollars will go towards continuing and expanding programs for adolescents suffering with eating disorders. These include support programs around greater Vancouver, facilitated online support programs, school workshops, and an online-based “Ask an Expert” service. Each summer, a one-week camp is held to focus on wellness, nutrition and improving quality of life for adolescents and young women who struggle with eating disorders.
The Woodstone Residence, Canada’s first and only residential care centre for eating disorders was opened in April 2011. This facility is for those struggling to recover from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or an eating disorder not otherwise specified.
