The mandate of The Society is to address three key areas: Prevention and Awareness Care and Support Building Community Capacity
Since its inception in 1998 the Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society has worked to raise community awareness and support regarding Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) through a number of activities targeting professionals and community members. These activities focused on care and support , prevention/awareness and building community capacity.
