IWEN is a non-profit, registered charity, directed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Since 2005 IWEN has provided 758 educational scholarships for females in rural Nepal and Katmandu Valley through the generosity of IWEN sponsors.
As well, IWEN works with immigrant women in the Okanagan Valley to provide community support and training.
IWEN has two Nepalese partners that are registered Non-Government Organizations [NGOs] with the Nepal Ministry of Women and Children. These partners fall under the Social Welfare Council which monitors all NGOs' activities.
