Typically ANIQUEM patients are very poor – CAFA programmes provide support Including:
CAFA transport program provides transport (bus fare and meal) for patient and caregiver to come to clinic on regular basis without which many patients could not afford to visit the clinic at all
CAFA Recreation program provides 2 3-day camps per year for up to 40 burn survivors providing friendly camp surroundings where the children can relax 'and just be kids'.
CAFA Surgery provides for individual surgery support for identified cases. Surgery takes place at clinics in Lima. CAFA recently collaborated with ANIQUEM and INTERPLAST on a 10 day campaign corrective surgery campaign at a hospital near Lima. Eighteen ANIQUEM patients were treated with all transport and accommodation funded by CAFA.
