Our Mission

In 1998, the club created the Foundation who’s mission is “To manage and grow the funds entrusted to it in a lawful manner and to make available charitable funding in perpetuity for qualified beneficiaries selected by the Rotary Club of Point West.” Since 1998, the Foundation has donated over $1.1 million to over one hundred worthy charitable causes in three broad categories:

Organizations that create opportunity, enhance self esteem, and provide physical and moral support for vulnerable children; Programs that celebrate or promote community service; and Service activities of Rotary International and other Rotary clubs.

Grants must finance a specific benevolent activity; requests for support of general operations (operating expenses) are not considered; and grants are made only to qualified 501 (c) (3) and other tax qualified organizations. (Tax ID #94-3337623)
