Urban Cat Relief is a network of dedicated, caring and experienced foster homes. All of our cats and kittens are raised in family environments. They get the love and socialization needed to help them succeed in their forever homes. We observe our cats and kittens to learn their personalities and strive to make the right matches between the cats and potential adopters. All of our cats and kittens get the medical help they need. This includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, injuries cared for and any surgeries required. We do not cut any corners when it comes to the health of our cats. All of this requires donations from cat-lovers like you! Please help the cats. Donations of any amount are urgently needed and gratefully accepted. You can be sure that all monies donated go directly to the cats. Urban Cat Reliefwishes to Thank-You for your financial support.

Founded in 2019, The Cat Lounge™Rescue and Adoption Center strives to reimagine the shelter experience by creating a living room environment where cats are free to roam around and interact with the public. We rescue cats from high kill shelters throughout Southern California and partner with shelters to provide a safe haven for cats that would have been euthanized otherwise. We hold a public forum to educate the community on the importance of adoption, while giving them a setting to see our work in action. We provide full medical care and socialization for every cat we take under our care. We are an all-women owned and operated non-profit organization, bringing our skills together to save lives together!

We are dedicated to ending the senseless euthanasia of all adoptable dogs and cats of the Lowcountry in South Carolina by providing a safe, loving environment for them until they are adopted. Our Adoption Center has an average intake of 2000 companion animals each year. We work with open admission shelters in the surrounding 6 counties to help with saving the lives of the animals that find themselves abandoned. We also work with owners who feel that their is no other option but to give their companion animal to us to find their next home. Our Community Spay/Neuter Clinic is NSRT certified through Humane Alliance. We uphold high standards of medical care for our shelter animals and the low cost services we provide to our community. Through grants and donations we are able to provide the public with financial assistance for spay/neuter and preventive care including vaccines. Our continued participation in humane education programs and preserving the welfare and rights of animals by pursuing animal cruelty prosecution and initiating animal welfare legislation will be part of our mission and advocacy for the animals of the Lowcountry.
The Grand Strand Humane Society (GSHS) takes in animals brought in by the City of Myrtle Beach Animal Control. We are committed to the care and humane treatment of all homeless and abandoned animals in the Myrtle Beach Metropolitan Area. When we made the decision to step out of the cookie-cutter style of shelters and stop euthanizing healthy, adoptable animals for space, it was the right decision and we felt the only option for the GSHS. The decision did increase our financial struggle, but we will continue finding every healthy, adoptable animal a forever family as long as it is financially feasible. We are further committed to providing excellent guest service to people visiting our facilities in the hope that all our animals can find caring and loving homes. We also work at educating our community about responsible pet ownership and finally, to investigate and attempt to prevent cruelty to all animals. We strive to provide all communities within our area with cost-effective adoption rates as well as spay/neutering and preventative healthcare services.
The Humane Society of Saline County was founded on June 19, 1975, and received its charter from the state of Arkansas in August of that year. The organization's objectives are: * To provide a temporary refuge for stray, homeless and deserted animals and to place such animals in good homes wherever practical. * To receive and care for suffering animals. * To prevent all forms of cruelty to animals by every legitimate means. * To carry humane education, in all possible ways, into schools and homes of Saline County. * To return lost pets to their rightful owners upon reasonable proof of ownership within a reasonable period of time and upon payment of a reasonable fee, as established by the society's board of directors, with such fee to be based on costs of maintenance and care. * To end suffering, in a humane manner, of any animals for which it is not possible to cure its infirmities. Decisions of this nature are made with the advice of a qualified Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. * To meet the moral obligations of disease control and population control through humane methods--spaying and neutering. * To not allow anything in the management of the society to interfere with receiving the full support of all persons, regardless of race, religion or political persuasion.
Everyone thinks that some agency, probably a government funded one, protects and cares for wild animals in distress. This is not the case at all! Although in Canada and in the U.S. wildlife is legally protected by Federal and Provincial (or State) agencies, no government agency is responsible for the rescue, treatment and release of injured or orphaned wildlife. Cochrane Ecological Institute's Swift Fox Reintroduction programs began in 1972 under the direction of Beryl and Miles Smeeton. Since that time 0ver 800 Swift fox were reintroduced to the Canadian Prairie. This has resulted in the Species being downlisted by the Canadian Government from Extirpated to Endangered. WHALEFORCE was started, by the CEI, in 1988 as an international Cetacean survey using blue-water and coastal racing and cruising yachtsmen/women as participants.
