PRINCE ALBERT SPCA

Above all, our goal is to prevent cruelty to animals. We take in pets that have been abused, neglected, poorly treated, found, or simply have nowhere to go. We see to it that their medical needs are met. And with the help of our volunteers: We work & play with them to give them exercise, fitness and fun. If they have behavioral issues, we work with the animals to train them to behave properly. We give them a safe, temporary home while we work to find them a permanent home where they'll be loved and cared for.

Winnipeg Humane Society

The Winnipeg Humane Society (WHS) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that handles over 8,000 animals each year. Without the generous support from the community, WHS could not shelter, feed and provide medical assistance to the thousands of lost and abandoned animals that pass through its doors, nor strive to educate and support the community through a variety of programs directed to children, teens and adults, including, obedience classes, spring and summer camps for kids, youth at risk programs, pet therapy to senior complexes, as well as educational workshops such as what to consider when adopting a family pet. In addition, WHS works to combat pet overpopulation with SNAP – a subsidized spay and neuter program, for those living on fixed incomes or social assistance, along with other community outreach initiatives. For more information on WHS and to learn how your donation will help, call 204-982-2041 or visit us at www.winnipeghumanesociety.ca.

Central Alberta Humane Society

We operate an companion animal adoption and humane education center. More than 90% of our funding comes from kind-hearted donations and our own revenue-generating activities. Through the generosity of our community we are able to house, feed and care for over 1,000 unwanted and homeless animals each year. Every gift helps us to continue to provide life saving care and deliver important community education and outreach programs.

BOW VALLEY SPCA

The Bow Valley SPCA has completed the construction of our innovative No-Kill, No-Cage Adoption Centre – the first of its kind in Canada. The Carla Cumming Sojonky Adoption Centre's design is based on the organization's no-kill, no-cage philosophy. This philosophy requires the environment to be more sensitive to the needs of dogs and cats. Design elements include dog cabins and cat chalets which comfortably accommodate three to five animals, allowing for animal compatibility and in-room visits with people. This creates a more people- and animal-friendly environment. The Bow Valley SCPA’s no-kill, no-cage philosophy extends beyond the Centre design. Now that we are open – we are busy generating greater awareness in humane animal treatment and reducing the number of abandoned animals in the Bow Valley through our adoption services, humane education and spay/neuter programs. Animals cannot help themselves. You can make a difference. Donate to the fund of your choice today.

Puna Cat Sanctuary

Our mission is to provide compassionate care for cats, focusing on a robust TNR program, and building local cat sanctuaries, as well as fostering and adoption programs. We recognize that by providing sanctuaries for feral cats, we are also helping protect Hawaii’s endangered species, such as native birds and Hawaiian monk seals. We aim to build a community that values and supports the well-being of our feline friends and all of Hawaii’s precious resources.
