Blue Ridge Humane Society is a local animal welfare organization that rescues, shelters, and finds homes for companion animals while also providing community support services (low-cost clinics, pet food and vet assistance), spay/neuter programs, and public education to reduce pet overpopulation and strengthen the human–animal bond.

The Humane Society of Sumner County (HSSC) is committed to finding responsible guardians for homeless animals, controlling pet overpopulation through our SANS (Spay and Neuter Sumner County) Campaign, collaborative efforts to end the euthanasia of adoptable animals, reunification of lost animals with their guardians, the promotion of humane education, and the compassionate treatment of all animals.

Heartland Humane Society of Missouri is a 501(c)3 non-profit group of dedicated foster homes that gives abandoned, abused, and unwanted animals another chance for loving, permanent homes through our adoption program, following the no-kill philosophy. We reduce pet overpopulation in our community through collaboration with veterinarians, animal welfare organizations, and supportive individuals and organizations by providing affordable spay/neuter procedures and humane education. Heartland Humane Society of Missouri is funded by adoption fees, donations, fundraising events, grants and tributes.

The purpose of the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley shall be to promote the welfare of the animals within greater Washington County, Ohio in the following manner:​Provide a safe haven for stray, lost and /or abused animals through operating an animal shelter.Educate the Communities served by the Society on the need for humane care of animals, the need for animal population control, the relief of animal suffering, and the services offered by the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley.Investigate and prosecute complaints of animal abuse and neglect as permitted by the Ohio Revised Code.Provide for the adoption of animals by people who can demonstrate that they will provide care consistent with the purposes of the Society.

The Mission of Columbia Gorge Humane Society is to provide safe, loving and humane care for homeless or unwanted dogs and cats while working to find permanent homes for each. We believe every dog or cat deserves a second chance.Through education, spay and neuter voucher programs, and community outreach we seek to build a community culture where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness. It is our mission to bring an end to the killing of abandoned and orphaned animals and promote a clear path for long and healthy human-animal bonds within our community.
