HALT is a program benefiting at-risk adolescents and rescued dogs from local shelters. Adolescents teach dogs basic obedience training, providing a therapeutic intervention for the student trainers while increasing the adopt-ability of unwanted dogs.

NORTH TEXAS RABBIT SANCTUARY (NTRS) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex that rescues abandoned rabbits, spays/neuters the rabbits and finds new indoor homes for them. and provides rabbit care information to the public. An estimated 90% of all rabbits purchased as pets for children die of improper care or are abandoned at animal shelters across the country, most to be euthanized. Sadly, many rabbits are not given the chance to prove themselves as intelligent, curious, affectionate companion animals. Without understanding their bunnies needs, and knowing how best to handle difficult situations, owners may become frustrated and disillusioned, resorting to abandonment.

MAGDRL is staffed completely by volunteers. Like all humane groups, MAGDRL is in the unique position of helping both humans and pets. In our case, the pets are Great Danes and mixed Dane dogs, and the people are all those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in general

We match those in our county who need help, whether citizens, businesses, government entities, or other nonprofits, with volunteers to work on the help needed. We are not a social services agency, and the scope of the work needed has to fall within the guidelines set for our volunteer program. Some types of work needed by citizens are outside of the scope of our work, and we help these citizens find an agency where the client needs to qualify to receive help needed.We will offer our volunteers the opportunity to upload hours served on time sheets, for completed work, to be translated into points. These points can be accumulated and will be redeemable in the form of gifts, just like the Fetch program used for vendor receipt uploads. This program is currently being developed. "Our mission is to provide accessible, relationship-based dog training and educational resources to the Harrisburg community, ensuring that every pet and person has the tools to build strong, lasting relationships, foster responsible pet care, and contribute to a compassionate well-informed society."

OUR MISSION: To find loving homes for abused, abandoned and neglected animals; to spay/neuter our rescued dogs of age to stop the cycle of unwanted litters; to assist in public education for the betterment of our community; and to maintain a high standard of care for the animals, including veterinary care, housing, love, tenderness and compassion.

The specific exempt purpose is to host rodeo performances and other fundraising events to benefit the local Penn Valley community, local charities and schools to preserve the Western heritage and to educate society on those traditions associated with the country-western lifestyle.

Our ultimate goal: -To educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering to diminish the overpopulation of homeless animals. -To diminish the total amount of animals euthanized in shelters. -To offer support and resources to responsible animal owners.

Rhode Island Parrot Rescue is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue rehabilitation of unwanted, abused or abandoned parrots. Our mission is to educate people on the proper care of parrots and parrot-like birds, their specific physical and psychological needs, rescuing companion parrots from harmful or unwanted situations and rehabilitating, when necessary, unwanted, found, or injured naturalized (free-flying) parrots; and offering these birds to qualified homes for adoption

Spirit’s Promise Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation rescues horses who have been abused, neglected, or unwanted. When these beautiful animals arrive, we give them a new educational and recuperative purpose. In return, they repay us with love, sensitivity, and an innate spirituality unique to the species.

NEER North actively rescues horses and donkeys in need. There are a wide variety of situations including owner surrenders, abuse and neglect, where these majestic animals are at risk of diminished health or, worse yet, heading to slaughter. NEER North is a safe haven where these animals are rehabilitated with the intention of adoption into new families. NEER North also networks closely with other like minded equine rescue organizations, assisting where needed.
