The mission of the Gulf Coast Humane Society is to provide humane care for surrendered animals in Southwest Florida by offering refuge, providing medical care, and facilitating an adoptive home.

THE K9 UNITS / PRIMARY FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: Responding to calls of incidents with armed or dangerous suspects. In-progress felonies such as robberies and burglaries. Searches for concealed or fleeing suspects. Searches for articles or evidence including narcotics and explosives. Patrolling parks. Conducting public demonstrations.

The goal of the Wild Cat Education and Conservation Fund is to educate the public about the decreasing population of wild cat species around the world, provide funding for worldwide wild cat conservation projects, and offer safe refuge for captive wild cats.

PLACING SERVICE DOGS WITH PTSD VETERANS

Fosterlings is a small, but dedicated, 501(c)(3) non-profit kitten rescue based in Pottstown, PA. They provide new lives, new hopes, new dreams and unconditional love for abandoned, abused, or neglected kittens. They are a no kill, no cage rescue, which means that kittens remain with us until good homes are found, socialized in a home environment, with other cats.

A no-kill facility, SCRC in Virginia, with the help of an 800 volunteer transport team, picks up Siamese cats throughout the eastern US and houses them in either a foster home or at the Rescue Center. Medical attention is provided including all vaccines, blood work and spay/neuter, and cats are then rehomed in carefully screened permanent situations

We seek to increase the supply and specialties of highly-trained Assistance Dogs available to meet the challenges, particularly medical challenges, encountered by individuals and our society as a whole. Our Service Dog program provides trained assistance dogs to individuals with mobility impairments for the purpose of increasing the recipients' independence. Our Medical Detection Dog program provides Diabetic Assistance Dogs to individuals with diabetes for the purpose of improving each individual's healthcare. Our programs are "open-source" and we are committed to freely sharing what we learn through our work. We do this because we believe that sharing ideas, techniques, and research will encourage innovation, growth and high standards in the Assistance Dog industry, ultimately benefiting both clients and their dogs far more than a narrower focus on our organization would.

TO ENGAGE INDIVIDUALS WITH DIFFICULTIES WITH THE COMPANIONSHIP OF EXTREMELY TRAINED WORKING CANINES TO ALLOW THEM TO IMPROVE THEIR INTERACTION

Their dog rescue program is dedicated to saving, rehabilitating and finding loving forever homes for neglected, abused, stray, abandoned and surrendered dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, colors, abilities and health.

Georgia Akita Rescue Division was formed to work with placing and rescuing Akita dogs in the Southern states- primarily in Georgia. Our goal is to work with the community to educate and assist owners to be able to keep their dogs if possible, and rescue Akitas from kill shelter situations.
