CCR is focused on rescuing homeless dogs & some special cats from high-kill shelters in Tennessee, placing them in loving foster homes until they help them find their perfect, forever family. They pride themselves on doing whatever is necessary, and it can often take several months to return an animal to good health.  They succeed only because of the generosity of loving volunteers who take these animals into their homes, who make them part of the family while providing care, training, and love. The foster environment allows the CCR animals to be assessed for behavioral and health issues and have those issues addressed. Then every attempt is made to find the best possible forever family for each animal.

Their Mission: To assist animals and their owners duting times of disaster or emergency. To provide temporary housing and care to evacuated, neglected or abused animals. To provide education in pet disaster prepardeness and in the humane and proper care of animals.

Georgia Akita Rescue Division was formed to work with placing and rescuing Akita dogs in the Southern states- primarily in Georgia. Our goal is to work with the community to educate and assist owners to be able to keep their dogs if possible, and rescue Akitas from kill shelter situations.

Dog Rescue

The Rescue for PTSD is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to adopt and train shelter/rescue dogs to be psychiatric service dog partners for military veterans suffering with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder to aid in the restoration of their emotional and physical independence.

This rescue is built on the promise that every animal that comes to the rescue will be treated as a part of the family; and here at My ‘Little’ Animal Kingdom Rescue, we keep our promises. My 'Little' Animal Kingdom Rescue is a 501(c) 3 Non Profit that takes in reptiles, birds, small animals, and more! (Excluding dogs, cats, livestock, and wildlife) We are not only here to take in animals who need us, but we are also here to support those families that are needing to find a new home for their pet(s) or who simply need guidance. Even if we cannot take in a pet, we do what we can to help that family find their family member a new home, whether this is recommending another rescue, helping with exposure for the animal(s), or simply keeping in touch and letting them know when we do have space to take their pet(s) in. We do not look down upon those who ask for our help, we understand it is never an easy decision to surrender a pet and we strive to keep our rescue positive and supportive. We are also here for educational purposes. My ‘Little’ Animal Kingdom Rescue was also established to help bring a better understanding of the proper care of animals. We love answering questions regarding someone’s pet(s) or helping someone to decide what type of pet may be a good fit for them. We are strong advocates of doing research and understanding at least the basic care of any animal, before bringing them home.

The Buckeye Chapter of NAVHDA is an organization whose purpose is to foster, promote, and improve the versatile hunting dog breeds in North America; to conserve game by using well trained reliable hunting dogs before and after the shot; and to aid in the prevention of cruelty to animals by discouraging nonselective and uncontrolled breeding, which produces unwanted and uncared for dogs.

Alley Cat Allies' mission is to transform and develop communities to protect and improve the lives of cats.

The purpose of the United States Police Canine Association Foundation is to engage in education, training, and certifications regarding the care, handling, and training of police dogs and other working dogs used to advance public safety.

Bright and Beautiful trains, evaluates, certifies, and supports volunteer handlers and their well-behaved dogs so teams can provide comfort, companionship, and emotional support through visits to hospitals, nursing homes, schools, libraries and similar facilities. The organization operates as an all‑volunteer 501(c)(3) and focuses on placing therapy-dog teams where they can relieve loneliness, boost morale, and support people of all ages.

The Long Island Parrot Society works to improve the lives of companion parrots and related species through education, advocacy, rescue/placement services and community programs. They promote responsible bird ownership, run outreach/educational programs (e.g., “Parrot University”), and support rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing efforts.
