Our overarching mission is to help homeless, abused, and special needs animals receive the veterinary care they desperately need; to find loving, permanent homes for all adoptable animals that have been placed in our care; to provide low-cost spay/neuter services to under-resourced communities and individuals; and to put an end to needless euthanasia because of pet overpopulation.

Our mission is to support, develop, enrich, and publicize the benefits of Palo Alto Animal Services. The Friends group intends to aid the shelter in accomplishing its objectives: offering animals for adoption, providing low cost spay/neuter surgery and vaccination services, rescuing animals at risk of injury or neglect, and operating animal control services to protect public safety. Further, our mission includes fundraising for a capital improvement plan to build a new, state-of-the-art shelter where the old shelter has stood since 1972.

The American Veterinary Medical Foundation develops resources to advance the science and practice of veterinary medicine to improve animal and human health.The AVMF is the charitable arm of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), one of the oldest and largest veterinary medical organizations in the world. For more than 55 years, the Foundation has been helping veterinarians help animals with support for education, animal welfare, disaster relief, and research programs and activities.

End animal cruelty and suffering through sheltering, education, spaying, and assisting people with veterinary care for their animals, thereby reducing the numbers of homeless animals. Programs directed at helping animals and humans. The HSAC operates low/no cost spay clinics both stationary and, in the past mobile. HSAC has served to teach other organizations to run spay clinics.

Pet Refuge is a not-for-profit; no-kill animal shelter run by volunteers for the placement of unwanted and abandoned pets into responsible permanent homes.

The mission of the Idaho Humane Society is to advocate for the welfare and responsible care of animals, protect them from neglect and cruelty and promote humane education, awareness and compassion.

Project Street Vet is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit public charity that provides free veterinary care, treatment, and support to the pets of individuals experiencing homelessness and/or housing vulnerability. Project Street Vet was founded by veterinarian Dr. Kwane Stewart, who for the past decade has provided free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing homelessness – walking areas of high homelessness to seek pets and pet parents in need. Leading with compassion, kindness, and no judgements, we seek out and assist the pets and people who need it most.

Mercy Veterinary Coalition was created by a group of like minded veterinary professionals to help fill the gaps in veterinary medical care for animals currently in the care of rescues and shelters.

Rochester Emergency Veterinary Services is a nonprofit emergency hospital created to restore and expand after‑hours emergency veterinary care in the Rochester area. It provides life‑saving medical and surgical emergency services, prioritizes accessible care for pets and support for the local veterinary community, and operates to fill gaps left by closures of prior regional emergency hospitals.

Spay Taos operates a free, high-volume spay/neuter clinic serving northern New Mexico to reduce pet overpopulation. They provide no-cost spay/neuter surgeries plus vaccines, microchips, and aftercare support, and run community outreach (including TNR) to lower stray/feral populations and improve public safety.
