Audubon Nature Institute operates a family of museums, parks and research facilities on behalf of the City of New Orleans, Louisiana, dedicated to celebrating the wonders of nature. Through innovative live animal exhibits, education programs, and scientific discovery, Audubon makes a meaningful contribution to preserving wildlife for the future. Audubon Nature Institute flagships include Audubon Park, Audubon Zoo, Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, Entergy Giant Screen Theater, Audubon Louisiana Nature Center, Freeport-McMoRan Audubon Species Survival Center, Woldenberg Riverfront Park, Audubon Wilderness Park, and Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium.

Center for Wildlife is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate and strengthen relationships between humans, wildlife and the environment resulting in a healthier, more sustainable community. To this end, we focus on three goals: 1. Strengthen our community's overall health through the interdisciplinary approach of conservation medicine. 2. Expand community outreach and provide learning opportunities to educate and inspire people of all ages to value the connection between wildlife, human, and environmental health. 3. Achieve and advance a diverse and viable fundraising strategy, ensuring long-term financial sustainability to support the successful growth and continued demand for our work in the community.

Valley of the Kings sanctuary and retreat provides a home for abused, abandoned, retired and injured large felids, exotics, and domestic non-human animals. We give the best available diet, housing, veterinary care and positive human interaction. Valley of the Kings educates the general public concerning the bond between human and non-human animals in the natural world. We teach that private or commercial ownership, hunting for profit or sport and the destruction of natural habitat will mean eventual extinction for these creatures. Lastly, we believe that when we remove animals from the wild, we take their freedom and wildness, the essence of their being.

VISIONS OF THE WORLD was started with the mission to raise awareness, change perceptions, educate and support those who need representation. Our current mission are the animals that are losing their habitats and need protecting. While creating the series of fine art photography books LIFE Behind Bars, I realized the importance of the thankless work done by the wild animal sanctuaries and conservations groups to save species and how crucial it is for me to give back and support their efforts to protect and preserve endangered species and their habitats. A portion of the proceeds from book sales and associated merchandise will go to the wildlife conservation institutions that protect and preserve these precious animals. - Julian Starks

Established in 1948, Morris Animal Foundation is dedicated to improving and protecting the health of animals through scientific innovation, education and inspiration. Our investment in research has yielded life-saving vaccines, new treatments for critical diseases, superior screening tests, and advanced diagnostic tools. We respond to emerging animal health threats that endanger entire species and make new discoveries in basic animal biology to support applied research. The International Wolf Center advances the survival of wolf populations by teaching about wolves, their relationship to wildlands and the human role in their future. Our response to controversies as they arise is to provide information that helps people to make their own informed decisions. We pledge to educate the public by offering the most up-to-date, accurate wolf information possible. We who want knowledge about wolves need clear, thoughtful presentation of the facts and issues involved. That is exactly what the International Wolf Center seeks to provide. The study of wolf survival continues to include the study of human tolerance. It is hard for people to tolerate or to respect what they are raised to fear. The wolf problem is a people problem. We need everyone's help to solve it.

Providing permanent sanctuary for non-releasable bats, the protection and conservation of wild bat colonies, promoting the humane treatment of bats in captivity, educating the public about the importance of bats, and training animal care professionals on the proper treatment of bats. We believe that great animal rescue organizations are judged not just by the scale of the work that they do, but by the impact that work has on the lives of the animals they serve. We actively work with zoos, researchers and animal shelters to offer an alternative to death. Many of the bats in our care have lived terrible lives before coming to us. We provide the security and privacy they need to recuperate from their previous existence. Our facility is currently the only accredited bat sanctuary in the world.

Located in Jacksonville, Florida, we serve Duval, Saint Johns, Clay, Nassau and Baker counties. A great deal of our visitors are also international. The mission of Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary is to provide a safe, loving and forever home to endangered big cats and to educate the public about their plight in the wild and captivity. Our primary focus is in the rescue of cats from serious situations. Once an animal is taken in at Catty Shack Ranch, they have a loving, forever home for life. We do not breed, sell, or trade any of our animals. Our current residents include tigers, lions, cougars, leopards, bobcats, arctic foxes, and coatimundis (the last two are “honorary cats").

Our MissionProvide a natural sanctuary to wild cats in need and inspire change to end the captive wildlife crisis. Our VisionHelp create a world where animal sanctuaries are no longer needed. Combining natural and spacious habitats with a life free of exhibition, TWS allows all residents to live wild at heart. Each cat has the opportunity, often for the first time in their lives, to choose a path to walk and a place to lie down. As a true sanctuary, TWS does not breed, buy, sell or exhibit animals. Committed to public education about the captive wildlife crisis, TWS seeks to create a world where animal sanctuaries are no longer needed. The sanctuary is not open to the public in order to assure true peace and tranquility for the cats.

Our mission is to develop new ideas and implement new solutions to address the short and long-term threats to elephant survival, providing them a new future free of cruelty and death at the hands of humans. Our unique approach of developing communities that will end poaching and illegal trafficking, implementing humane economies within host countries and by creating non-invasive research facilities, we will bring transformational change to this epic struggle while bettering the lives of the indigenous population and the host government. The Elephant Project will create self-sustaining and self-funding sanctuaries and communities reducing the need to constantly fundraise for the project. This project is designed to be a model that can be used all over the world to protect endangered species, better the economies of the host country, provide skills training, jobs, healthcare and educational opportunities for the indigenous population.

Our Mission: To spark curiosity, enhance understanding, and inspire conservation of our Blue Planet.Located within Odiorne Point State Park, Seacoast Science Center provides educational experiences on behalf of New Hampshire State Parks and have been connecting people to the wonders of our coast since 1992. Our live animal exhibits feature the amazing creatures that live in the rapidly changing Gulf of Maine ecosystem. Our engaging programs make learning about the ocean fun for everyone, from pre-K to senior rediscovery. Our hands-on science exhibits motivate families to become caretakers of our Blue Planet.We also operate the Seacoast Science Center Marine Mammal Rescue program, responding to marine mammals along the coast of NH and northern MA.

For a very long time sea turtles were unprotected, but since the 1980's, volunteers have monitored and recorded nesting activity in New Smyrna Beach under a government permit. Volunteers from various backgrounds joined forces in an effort to protect nesting sea turtles, their eggs, and hatch-lings from beach driving and other human induced threats. In 2013, the volunteer group reorganized as the New Smyrna Beach marine turtle conservancy. With the help of Jessi Bruton, a graphic designer with New Smyrna Beach roots, the NSB turtle trackers brand was developed as the official name for the volunteers of the New Smyrna Beach Marine Turtle Conservancy. While the name of our group has changed, our goals have not. We are still committed to the tracking and conservation of threatened and endangered sea turtles and public education in new Smyrna Beach.
