Last Chance for Animals (LCA) recognizes that animals have the ability to experience pain, and as such they deserve certain basic rights protecting them from pain caused by humans. LCA believes that non-human animals should not be subjected to suffering and exploitation by humans because alternatives exist for nearly every traditional "usage" of animals. LCA opposes the use of animals for scientific curiosity, entertainment, clothing, and food. LCA recognizes the use of non-human animals in medical experimentation as both immoral and of questionable scientific validity due to the tremendous biological difference between species. LCA's work advocates conscious and informed lifestyle decisions, and the organization is committed to disseminating truthful information about societal animal abuse to improve the treatment of animals.

Their mission is to provide aid and sanctuary to abused, neglected, abandoned or surrendered horses that come to them. They work with law enforcement and other agencies in their efforts to rectify situations in which horses are in peril, and provide horses in their Sanctuary with needed medical care and proper nutrition. They continue educational and fundraising efforts to both help them support their rescue efforts and to promote awareness of issues involving neglect and abuse in the area.

Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest provides lifetime quality care for formerly abused and exploited chimpanzees while advocating for great apes everywhere.

We're on a mission to save and protect bonobos and their rainforest home - forever. We do this through rescue, sanctuary, and rewilding, by partnering with local communities to tackle root causes and save rainforests, and by raising the profile of bonobos locally and globally.

Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution conducts independent ocean science, engineering, and education to advance understanding of the ocean and its connections to the Earth system, and communicates that knowledge to inform decision‑making and benefit society. Its work combines research, ship/vehicle operations, technology development, and training to address climate, ecosystem, and ocean‑resource challenges.

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary rescues, medically treats, rehabilitates, and (when possible) releases sick, injured, or orphaned native Florida wildlife while providing curriculum-based environmental education to the public. The organization aims to promote conservation and stewardship of Florida’s native habitats and species through hands-on programs and community outreach.

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center rescues, rehabilitates, and releases stranded or injured marine mammals and sea turtles along the New Jersey coast; it also collects stranding data, supports research, and provides public education through its Sea Life Museum and outreach programs.

Founded by Carol Buckley in 2009, Elephant Aid International (EAI) envisions a world in which society respects elephants and provides them conditions in which they can thrive. Built on decades of experience and scientific advances, our mission is to improve the lives of elephants and the people who live and work with them. EAI collaborates with governments, municipalities, biologists, mahouts (elephant trainers), researchers, veterinarians, educators, progressive zoo professionals, and owners. Together, we work to raise awareness of the plight of captive-held elephants everywhere they live; and advocate for improved standards and practices.
