The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organization developing advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. The Ocean Cleanup has three core approaches to tackling plastic pollution: 1) Clean legacy ocean plastic - Since 2018, The Ocean Cleanup has deployed technologies to remove plastic that has accumulated in ocean garbage patches. It's current system (System 002) has removed more than 225,000 kg of plastic from The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. 2) Turn off the tap: The Ocean Cleanup also develops and deploys Interceptor technologies that prevent plastic from reaching the oceans via rivers, focusing on 1000 rivers that are responsible for 80% of riverine plastic pollution. To date, 19 Interceptor solutions have been deployed across 8 countries. 3) Research: In the process of understanding the problem, The Ocean Cleanup has become a global leader in field research on marine plastic pollution.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release sick and injured birds while educating our community about preventing injuries and preserving habitats.

The Boulder Bear Coalition implements preventative measures to reduce human-bear conflicts to keep local black bears wild and free and the Boulder community safe.

Local Anne Arundel County branch of the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (AASPCA) is located in Annapolis, MD and includes a no-kiill shelter for cats, dog, and other unwanted pets.

We envision a world free of plastic pollution. As leaders in the movement to end plastic pollution, we educate and equip local and global influencers with the knowledge and resources needed to prevent plastic pollution

Wild Care's mission is to rescue and rehabilitate sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife for release; to prevent wildlife casualties through public education and our wildlife emergency helpline; and to engage the community in conservation through volunteerism.

The Orange County Bird of Prey Center is a volunteer organization dedicated to: Education: the best long-term solution to prevent and mitigate many of the dangers that raptors face is education. Rehabilitation: treating and rehabilitating injured raptors. Release: returning them to the wild.

Asia Wild is committed to rescuing and protecting the welfare of Asian animals worldwide. We seek out, vet, and support local organizations committed to rescuing animals from abuse and captivity, preventing illegal wildlife trade and trafficking, and promoting global conservation and sustainability efforts.
