The Foundation for Education in Honduras (FEIH) is a charitable organization committed to providing education to children in high-need areas of rural Honduras.
THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF OTTAWA is a registered non-profit charity that raises private funds to help students in need and at risk of school failure, attending schools in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. Children cannot learn if their basic needs are not met. Children come to school hungry every day. Many of our students face life challenges that place them at risk of school failure. Over 25% of Ottawa's children are living in poverty. We provide funding in emergency situations, for food and clothing, or medication, when a family is in financial crisis. The Foundation is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of business, education and community leaders, and chaired by Mr. Jim Orban, Publisher of the Ottawa Citizen. For more details, please visit our website: www.ocdsb.ca/foundation
The founding members volunteered to teach children and youth in Moria and Kara Tepe Camps on Lesvos to ensure that these displaced students continued to get an education while their lives were in flux. They recruit volunteers for their programs—the Teaching Program, both in person and virtual, and the Girls Empowerment Program. They also develop curriculum, teach classes, conduct professional development, fundraise for program activities, and offer presentations focusing on their work with refugees.

The Aspen Foundation for Labour Education works to educate youth to allow them to work, live, and participate fully in a democratic society. AFLE provides quality curricular resources and support materials, a speakers bureau, and professional development for teachers, all of which are offered from perspectives based upon the democratic ideals of cooperation, equality, justice, and citizen engagement. You can now support labour and social justice education in our schools with your charitable donation.
