Habitat for Humanity Kingston is a registered charity that builds affordable homes for purchase by low-income families. With the assistance of volunteers, businesses and community organizations, Habitat for Humanity makes the dream of home ownership a reality for families in our community.

Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry seeking to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness worldwide and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people from a broad spectrum of social, ethnic, religious and economic backgrounds to work in partnership to build homes and hope with families in need.

Habitat for Humanity Muskoka achieved charitable status in 2001 and built its first home in 2003. As of January 2014, seventeen low income families have moved into Habitat homes across Muskoka and Parry Sound.
