The East Roane County Volunteer Fire Department (ERCVFD) has been proudly serving our community since 1983. We cover approximately 85 square miles of beautiful East Roane County with surrounding Counties for mutual aid along 12 miles of interstate.

Alaska Search and Rescue Emergency Response Team, commonly known as ASARERT, was established in 2020 and is a ground-search team based out of Fairbanks, Alaska. The team is composed of un-paid volunteers that have training, experience, and equipment necessary for search & rescue operations in Interior Alaska for both people and animals. ASARERT is a registered non-profit service organization all team members are from the Fairbanks community. ASARERT serves as an un-paid auxiliary to the Alaska State Troopers to augment their departmental search and rescue efforts.
