CREATING EXCELLENCE THROUGH TRAINING AND LEADERSHIP The Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS), formerly Caring for First Nations Children Society, is a not-for-profit organization that strengthens the voice of Indigenous communities through education and professional development. Our training programs help foster a deeper understanding of Indigenous perspectives and cultural differences, and we help build successful partnerships and relationships with Indigenous communities, stakeholders and government partners. We also build capacity and support self-determination for Indigenous communities by providing leadership in research, innovation and contributing to social change.
ACT Alberta is a coalition comprised of government ministries, nongovernmental organizations, survivors of trafficking and volunteers concerned with identifying and responding to human trafficking in Alberta. ACT Alberta operates through community driven ACT Chapters, located in urban and rural areas of Alberta. These Chapters address all forms of trafficking including labour and sexual exploitation, domestic and international trafficking.
