The mission of the Foundation for Post Conflict Development (FPCD) is to fulfill the SDGs: eradicate extreme poverty; achieve universal primary education; promote gender equality and empower women; reduce child mortality; improve maternal health; combat HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other infectious diseases; ensure environmental sustainability; develop a global partnerships.  Through direct education, action and development or the promotion of a global partnership for such efforts, the FPCD is dedicated to assist post conflict countries with projects necessary for their reconstruction, among them the demobilization /disbanding of child soldiers, reintegration of war veterans, the creation of meaningful employment and cultural preservation.

Sewa International is a Hindu faith-based, humanitarian, nonprofit service organization registered under Internal Revenue Code 501 (c) (3). Founded in 2003, Sewa International is part of a larger movement that started in India in 1989 and has currently spread to 20 countries. Sewa serves humanity irrespective of race, color, religion, gender or nationality. We specialize in disaster relief and rehabilitation. Our development programs focus on family services; child, tribal and refugee welfare; women empowerment; health; and education. In addition to the US, we conduct development projects in Columbia, Guyana, India, Kenya, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Sewa’s volunteers are energetic, inspiring, selfless, and committed.

Volunteers from across the country are helping us accomplish our mission. We are a Muslim organization and feel the responsibility to help and support the needy as our religious responsibility.

The Calgary Food Bank is a food distribution hub. We provide quality emergency food directly to Calgarians to meet their individual needs (prenatal, homeless, households with children, etc). We also collect food donations for distribution to other charities (including the Mustard Seed, the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary, the Salvation Army and women’s shelters).

The Humanity Funds engages in targeted humanitarian relief in global crisis situations. It operates through local partners that are chosen for their reliability, ethical standards and proven accomplishments. Each such organization is visited in-person and held accountable for any funds or assistance received from The Humanity Funds. The focus in 2022 has been on the critical situation in Ukraine. This focus will continue in 2023 as The Humanity Funds explores the possibility of also advancing education of girls and women in Afghanistan.

The Women’s Centre of Calgary is a unique, street-front organization that provides a variety of services and opportunities to the women of Calgary. Canadian Women's Foundation is the only national public foundation dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls. Women's Centers International (WCI) creates safe community-based Centers that provide access to integrated training, support and capital, enabling women to build more prosperous families and communities informed by women's priorities.

The Women's Centre is a safe, compassionate place for women to learn, grow and recognize their own strengths and abilities. Our "Women Supporting Women" model provides support, guidance and encouragement to women for a wide range of issues including abuse, stress, loneliness, isolation, low-self esteem or emotional difficulties. Our services include peer counselling, culturally based counselling, employment programs, family law legal services, support groups and courses and workshops. Surrey Women’s Centre offers crisis, court and counselling services for women and children escaping domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and other forms of gender-based violence. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to ensure that women and children have the support they need, when they need it!
