The Mission of the Fistula Foundation is to raise awareness of and funding for fistula treatment, prevention, and educational programs worldwide. We believe that no woman should have to suffer a life of shame and isolation for trying to bring a child into the world. We are dedicated to raising awareness of and funding for fistula repair, prevention, and educational programs worldwide to help eradicate fistula. The Fistula Foundation will adhere to the highest standards for solicitation, granting, and accountability of its funds. The Fistula Foundation will fund programs that have a financial need, demonstrate that the funds will be used responsibly, in a timely manner, have accurate financial statements, provide detailed grant applications, and produce reasonable and timely reporting which allows the Fistula Foundation to ensure it will meet its fiduciary duties.

Breast Cancer Action Montreal (BCAM) is a non-profit activist/advocacy group directed by women who have been sensitized to the trauma of breast cancer (affecting themselves or someone close to them) and who are committed — long-term — to erasing the disease. The focus of breast cancer research must move beyond its current emphasis on treatment to also embrace a serious search for the causes of the disease and its prevention. BCAM promotes and supports the adoption of the Precautionary Principle as a guideline for action. The Precautionary Principle is a safety-first premise that states that, when there are reasonable scientific grounds for believing a process or product may not be safe, even when cause-and-effect relationships are not fully understood, preventive action must be taken.

AIP Foundation's mission is to provide life-saving traffic safety knowledge and skills to the developing world with the goal of preventing road traffic crash fatalities and injuries. We envision a world in which there are safer roads, smarter road users, and countries whose road traffic environments serve their developing economies and people.

Edmonton John Howard Society is a not-for-profit, community-based crime prevention agency. We provide assistance to people in conflict with the law, their families, those who have the potential to be in conflict with the law, and victims of crime. We work to eradicate the root causes of crime to help build safety and harmony in our community.

Kinark Child & Family Services is one of the largest and most respected children's mental health centres in the province of Ontario. When children and youth are suffering from a mental health problem, we see it most often in the way they ACT in their BEHAVIOUR. They may be depressed, angry or lonely. They may be having difficulty making friends. They may be in trouble at school. They may have tried or talked about suicide. They may be bullies or have been the victim of bullying. They may be in conflict with parents, teachers or police. They may be struggling with drug and/or alcohol abuse. They have shown homicidal or arson tendencies (fire-setting, hurting/killing pets or other animals). If any of this sounds familiar, we are here to help All you need to do... is ask.

Through the Foundation, we provide many services that are not covered by government funding. While the Ministry of Children and Youth Services provides funding for core child protection services, it does not provide direct funding for many abuse prevention and enrichment programs that are urgently needed by our children and families. Many of the most effective programs for child abuse prevention receive no financial assistance through provincial funding of the Durham Children’s Aid Society. Your support will go a long way in helping to build a future for our children. It is because of the support of the community that we have been able to extend a helping hand to those children in need, helping to break the cycle of abuse and neglect, and to foster the healthy development of youth into socially responsible adults.

THE MISSION OF THIS ORGANIZATION SHALL BE TO PROMOTE FELLOWSHIP AMONG ITS MEMBERS; COOPERATION BETWEEN VARIOUS FIRE DEPARTMENTS AND/OR EMERGENCY SQUADS; TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ON FIRE FIGHTING; FIRE PREVENTION, EMERGENCY SQUAD AND RESCUE WORK; TO OPERATE AND MAINTAIN THE WCFRA REGIONAL TRAINING FACILITY; AND TO AID OTHER LIKE ORGANIZATIONS OF THE STATE OF OHIO.

The Calgary John Howard Society is a community-based charitable organization dedicated to reducing the incidence of crime and increasing community safety through preventative and restorative justice practices. To accomplish these ends, we provide: Direct services to individuals at risk Advocacy for effective responses to crime and the individuals involved Education for youth and adults in the community

A community based AIDS Organization working from a harm reduction approach primarily with People who inject drugs, people with HIV/AIDS Hepatitis C and women's gender issues. Low threshold life skills group, needle exchange program, positive living program, prevention, education and community development programs.

The Navarino Volunteer Fire Department serves and protects its local community by preventing disasters and responding to emergencies (fires, medical calls, vehicle collisions, alarms, water-related incidents). It operates as a volunteer fire/EMS department focused on local fire suppression, emergency medical response, public safety, and community protection.

The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation operates on two levels: our Royal LePage offices across Canada support local women's shelters that provide assistance to women and children fleeing abuse. On a national level we raise funds for violence prevention programs such as The Fourth R, and provide grants in partnership with the Canadian Women's Foundation.
