Edmonton John Howard Society is a not-for-profit, community-based crime prevention agency. We provide assistance to people in conflict with the law, their families, those who have the potential to be in conflict with the law, and victims of crime. We work to eradicate the root causes of crime to help build safety and harmony in our community.

Kinark Child & Family Services is one of the largest and most respected children's mental health centres in the province of Ontario. When children and youth are suffering from a mental health problem, we see it most often in the way they ACT in their BEHAVIOUR. They may be depressed, angry or lonely. They may be having difficulty making friends. They may be in trouble at school. They may have tried or talked about suicide. They may be bullies or have been the victim of bullying. They may be in conflict with parents, teachers or police. They may be struggling with drug and/or alcohol abuse. They have shown homicidal or arson tendencies (fire-setting, hurting/killing pets or other animals). If any of this sounds familiar, we are here to help All you need to do... is ask.

Through the Foundation, we provide many services that are not covered by government funding. While the Ministry of Children and Youth Services provides funding for core child protection services, it does not provide direct funding for many abuse prevention and enrichment programs that are urgently needed by our children and families. Many of the most effective programs for child abuse prevention receive no financial assistance through provincial funding of the Durham Children’s Aid Society. Your support will go a long way in helping to build a future for our children. It is because of the support of the community that we have been able to extend a helping hand to those children in need, helping to break the cycle of abuse and neglect, and to foster the healthy development of youth into socially responsible adults.

Through community education, accessible and affordable, compassionate midwifery care, and promoting family wellness, Olive Tree Projects reduces preventable maternal and infant mortality while also improving the health and well-being of Haitian women and children

THE MISSION OF THIS ORGANIZATION SHALL BE TO PROMOTE FELLOWSHIP AMONG ITS MEMBERS; COOPERATION BETWEEN VARIOUS FIRE DEPARTMENTS AND/OR EMERGENCY SQUADS; TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ON FIRE FIGHTING; FIRE PREVENTION, EMERGENCY SQUAD AND RESCUE WORK; TO OPERATE AND MAINTAIN THE WCFRA REGIONAL TRAINING FACILITY; AND TO AID OTHER LIKE ORGANIZATIONS OF THE STATE OF OHIO.

The Calgary John Howard Society is a community-based charitable organization dedicated to reducing the incidence of crime and increasing community safety through preventative and restorative justice practices. To accomplish these ends, we provide: Direct services to individuals at risk Advocacy for effective responses to crime and the individuals involved Education for youth and adults in the community

A community based AIDS Organization working from a harm reduction approach primarily with People who inject drugs, people with HIV/AIDS Hepatitis C and women's gender issues. Low threshold life skills group, needle exchange program, positive living program, prevention, education and community development programs.

To developing a low-cost and effective health program that provides both preventive and curative services in the tribal and rural areas of Bilaspur and surrounding areas of Chhattisgarh in central India. They strongly believe that access to healthcare should not be denied to anyone due to lack of money or due to discrimination on account of caste, sex, religion and social class etc.

We are a registered Canadian charity dedicated to raising funds, awareness and support for child and youth mental health issues. We engage in a variety of mental health public education and prevention initiatives, and also support the Circle of Wellness Program and a Walk-in Counselling Clinic. All funds raised by the Foundation remain here in our community.

The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation operates on two levels: our Royal LePage offices across Canada support local women's shelters that provide assistance to women and children fleeing abuse. On a national level we raise funds for violence prevention programs such as The Fourth R, and provide grants in partnership with the Canadian Women's Foundation.

The Alberta Council on Aging supports Seniors in both rural and urban areas throughout its province wide network. Programs such as Age friendly Senior Friendly, Fraud Prevention and Elder Abuse Awareness are ways in which the Alberta Council on Aging actively works toward improving the quality of life for Seniors in Alberta and across Canada.

We honor and respect that family, social, cultural, and faith and life experiences affect how people grieve. Whether a loved one died from an illness, accident, murder or suicide, we believe that: • The deep grief an individual or family experiences following a death is normal • Grief is a unique experience for every person • Everyone carries within him or herself the capacity to heal • Critical to the healing process is an emotionally safe space in which to grieve.
