Marina del Rey Station is one of 23 patrol stations within the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, which is the largest sheriff’s department in the world. The department operates in the courts, custody facilities, patrol stations, detective assignments, and other special operations within the county. Marina del Rey Station provides police services for the unincorporated communities of Marina del Rey, Ladera Heights, View Park, and Windsor Hills. Within the combined 6.3 square miles of patrol area, Marina del Rey Station serves a population of over 26,000 people. Marina del Rey Station boat operations are the only 24 hour law enforcement entity patrolling the waters of Los Angeles County, including the 72 miles of coastline from Ventura County to the North and Orange County to the South. Our primary patrol waters include Marina del Rey Harbor and the Santa Monica Bay. The Marina del Rey Station patrol area borders the jurisdictions of the Los Angeles Police Department (77th, South-West, and Pacific Divisions), Culver City Police Department, and Inglewood Police Department.
