Teachers Unify is a grassroots movement of educators that supports and trains teachers and school staff to share their experiences, advocate for policies, and push for safer schools and communities free from gun violence. Their work centers survivor voices and provides educator resources, public education, and advocacy to influence local, state, and federal gun-violence-prevention policy.

The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is dedicated to the protection of all children, educating the public, offering prevention programs and advocating on the behalf of missing and exploited children. Our staff and case workers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide ongoing support to families, social service agencies and law enforcement in regards to missing children’s cases.

Non-Profit Society dedicated to working together to make our communities safer. We run preventative youth justice programs (KidStart Volunteer Mentoring and Saanich Community Justice), prison programs (William Head Visitors Group and Wilkinson Road Jail Pre-Release and Substance Abuse Programs, along with community education and job search programs

We are a local non-profit ministry committed to improving the lives of children and families in the greater Victoria community. Our focus is children 6-12 years and families in need as well as the prevention of homelessness. We offer varied and fun programs including a BBQ ministry, a Saturday SuperKids Program and other activities that help children make healthier lifestyle choices.

Goals: To provide children with a learning environment that will enhance their development, and prepare them for a more successful entry into school and community. To address possible emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties in children through the provision of early identification and intervention strategies. To provide the resources, supports, and prevention interventions to families, thereby enabling the parents to build secure relationships and to enhance parenting skills.

Prevent and reduce the spread of sexually transmitted infections and blood (STIs), HIV / AIDS and various forms of hepatitis among marginalized people living, working or transiting the territory of downtown Montreal, struggling with addictions, prostitution, homelessness and mental health; Awareness and educate the public and the environment to the realities of these people to promote their cohabitation; Support the efforts of our members to socialization and social integration.

WRA, formed in 1979, rehabilitates injured and orphaned urban wildlife for release back to the wild. Its specialty is native birds but treats small mammals also. WRA speaks to children and adult groups about urban wildlife issues and ways to prevent common injuries. An average of 3,000 patients are admitted to its facility in Burnaby, BC every year.

The Awo Taan Healing Lodge is dedicated to supporting the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual healing and wellbeing of women during their time of crisis and beyond. The shelter offers a full range of in-house crisis and outreach crisis, healing, and prevention programs. There is also a children’s program to ensure each child’s emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual healing and well-being are supported as well.

Raising the Roof was created as a result of a national consultation on homelessness conducted in 1996. Experts from across the country expressed a need for an organization that would play a key role in facilitating shared strategies to end homelessness - strategies that would show people in tangible, practical terms what they can do in their own communities to prevent and address current problems of homelessness.

The BairFind Foundation is bringing and keeping more children home through community awareness programs and innovative solutions designed to change the cultural conversation around missing children. As a tax exempt 501(c)(3) , our objective is to expand the search through youth education and prevention, collaborative real-time response technologies and standing with families in their continued search.

The mission of the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co., Inc. is to strive for excellence in the performance of prevention of loss of life, personal injury and damage from fire, medical and other emergencies of any or all persons when called upon. We shall do this by maintaining a high standard of training and public education and act and perform in a safe, courteous and professional manner.

OUR MISSION IS TO PREVENT BURNS & IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE OF BURN SURVIVORS THROUGH PROGRAMS, EDUCATION, AND RESEARCH. WE SUPPORT FIREFIGHTERS WHO HAVE BEEN HOSPITALIZED BY BURN INJURIES IN PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES AS WELL AS THEIR FAMILIES, WHICH INCLUDES TRANSPORTATION, LODGING, AND MEALS FOR FAMILY MEMBERS THAT HAVE LOVED ONES IN THE BURN CENTER. WE HELP FUND THE BURN CENTER AT THE WASHINGTON HOSPITAL CENTER, THE ONLY ADULT BURN TREATMENT CENTER IN THE WASHINGTON, DC AREA. WE SEND AND ACCOMPANY YOUNG BURN SURVIVORS FROM THE DC AREA EVERY SUMMER TO THE CHILDREN'S BURN CAMP IN CONNECTICUT. WE PROVIDE BURN EDUCATION AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS FOR CITIZENS AND FIREFIGHTERS, WHICH INCLUDES A RECENT PROGRAM SPECIFIC TO THE SENIOR POPULATION WITHIN THE DISTRICT. WE SHARE IN THE REHABILITATION OF RECOVERY OF BURN SURVIVORS AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH A WIDE VARIETY OF SURVIVOR SUPPORT PROGRAMS.
