The MATCH International Women’s Fund’s vision is a global community where women have the resources and power to realize their rights and potential. Our vision is inspired by the force for change that occurs when women work together. It is a vision whereby Canadians actively work to advance women’s rights in the global South and create lasting connections toward this end.

The equality effect works to advance women’s and girls’ human rights, and promote their empowerment, through the development of equality research, strategic action plans, and the implementation of practical equality initiatives (e.g. public legal education, policy reform, judicial training, litigation, etc.) that will result in tangible change. The primary focus of the organization’s work relates to violence against women, the feminization of HIV/AIDS, and women’s property rights.

Crossroads International is an international development organization that is reducing poverty and increasing women’s rights around the world. Working with local partners in eight countries and supported by hundreds of volunteers each year, Crossroads leverages expertise and resources, North and South, required to help people overcome poverty and assert their human rights. Crossroads is currently working in Bolivia, Ghana, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Swaziland, Togo and Zimbabwe. PEI Family Violence Prevention Services Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1980. Our primary goals are to provide a place of safety for women and children who are victims of abuse, educate the public about the issues of violence against women and family violence, and advocate for the needs of abused women and children. We believe that it is a basic human right to be free of abuse and from fear of abuse in relationships.The organization is led by a volunteer Board of Directors who represent a broad range of skills, expertise and commitment to the issues.
