Our trained peer counselors are here to help clients explore all options: giving access to accurate information, and allowing time and space for clients to make their decisions. Everyone has the right to make the choice that they feel is best. Ongoing support is available in the form of prenatal and parenting classes, post-adoption support groups, and post-abortion recovery and education groups. The Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre provides accurate information on pregnancy, parenting, abortion procedures and risks, and adoption. We do not perform or refer for abortions.

Center for Biological Diversity

At the Center for Biological Diversity, we believe that the welfare of human beings is deeply linked to nature — to the existence in our world of a vast diversity of wild animals and plants. Because diversity has intrinsic value, and because its loss impoverishes society, we work to secure a future for all species, great and small, hovering on the brink of extinction. We do so through science, law and creative media, with a focus on protecting the lands, waters and climate that species need to survive. We want those who come after us to inherit a world where the wild is still alive.

Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

The Saving Hope Rescue is a nonprofit organization which finds new homes for approximately 2000 animals yearly. In 2021 the rescue alone spayed and neutered over 1200 animals. The organization partners with The Saving Hope Foundation, SNN, TCAP, Fort Worth Animal control as well as the Humane Society of North Texas. There is a devastating statistic of 2-3 million dogs that are euthanized in shelters a year in the United States and we would like to help reduce that number to zero. The organization will continue to rescue, save and rehabilitate animals in need until Fort Worth and its surrounding cities become no kill.

WETLAND STEWARDS FOR CLAYOQUOT AND BARKLEY SOUNDS

We help install and monitor barrier fencing and culverts to reduce road mortality of amphibians in coastal British Columbia. We monitor how well these mitigation efforts work to improve habitat connectivity. We also help protect wetlands from habitat destruction, pollution, invasive species, and disease. We share information and promote stewardship of wetland habitats through public slideshows, workshops, school programs and by providing scientific advice to land owners and local planning departments. We highlight the connection between productive wetland habitat, water quality and human health in our presentations.
