The Boys and Girls Club of London is fortunate to have The Boys and Girls Club of London Foundation. This organization not only provides extra support for all the various programs and services at the Boys and Girls Club, but it also creates special events and fundraising tools to meet larger fundraising goals. The Boys and Girls Club of Strathcona County has served the County community since 2001, enriching the lives of 300 children and youth annually through after-school, spring break and summer camp programs. Our programs offer fun, challenging experiences and activities focused on healthy living, personal growth, learning and community involvement.
The Boys and Girls Club of Saint John, Inc. is a voluntary, non-profit United Way agency serving hundreds of children and youth and their families every year. The Club was recognized as the first Boys and Girls Club in Canada in 1900 and has been operating at our current location since 1954. Through our numerous programs and services, the Club has significantly altered the life outcomes for tens of thousands of Saint John youth and their families. Our Boys and Girls Club serves over 2,200 children and youth from several hundred families in the greater Saint John area annually, providing them with a safe, supportive place where they can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life. Our Club offers affordable, relevant and accessible programs during critical out-of-school hours when children and youth are most at risk. Approximately 40% of our youth are from families led by single parents.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of St. John's is a youth-serving, non-profit, charitable organization. The Club, established in 1946, has a mandate to provide versatile programs that meet the needs of today’s youth. We aid in the social, emotional, educational, and physical development of children and youth. Our organization is proud of its reputation in the community as a leader in innovative responses to the needs of our young members and their families.
The Boys and Girls Club provides before and after school care for children ages 5-11 along with free drop-in and structured programs for youth ages 11-19. We deliver all our programs in a safe, yet fun, environment where these youngsters can thrive and explore their potential. Our programs are intended to challenge youth, teach them positive ways to use their leisure time, enhance their self-esteem and help them make positive decisions for themselves. All children and youth are welcome regardless of their socio-economic background.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes is one of the areas largest and most diverse child and youth serving organizations. Established in 1970, the Club provides summer camps, before and after school programs, early learning- licensed child care, child and youth counselling, infant development and sports, recreation and adventure programs in ten local communities. Clubs currently serve over 4000 children, youth and their families through services that foster self-esteem, build skills and develop character. Most importantly, Clubs remove financial barriers to participation by keeping program costs affordable and subsidizing all of its programs for families who can’t afford to pay. At our Clubs, children and youth learn to become valuable members of their communities.
Our mission is to empower survivors of sex trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual violence in Albania as they heal from trauma, transition out of shelter care, and rebuild their lives. We provide counseling, life skills education, childcare, and job training and placement — the core services survivors identify as most essential for long-term stability and independence.
