Sahar partners with the Ministry of Education and Afghan based organizations to build schools and educational programs for girls in Afghanistan, empowering and inspiring children and their families to build peaceful, thriving communities.

TREC Education has pioneered educational programs about renewable energy and energy conservation for the past decade. Our hands on experiential educational programs have grown out of interest of the Windshare turbine located at Exhibition Place which is the first urban-sited, cooperatively owned turbine in North America. Our Programs -Our Kids' World of Energy program offers curriculum linked programs for elementary and secondary school students that introduce climate change, engineering and energy science. Through these curriculum links, we are able to help students explore the science behind renewable energy systems and the opportunities they hold. -Our Kids' World of Festival inspires and educates thousands of students and parents each year in the science and importance of renewable energy, energy conservation and sustainability. In community spaces across Ontario, we facilitate fun, hands-on workshops that provide a memorable experience for the young and not so young.

We support students and teachers in the K-12 school system, with curriculum-relevant education programs in topics related to energy, water, waste, forests and land use, and climate change. We provide free classroom presentations, outdoor field studies, classroom resource materials, and professional development programs for teachers.

Keep Children in School Foundation (KCIS) works to break the cycle of generational poverty by keeping children in school. The organization provides financial sponsorships, school supplies, digital-literacy programs, and other education-related supports (including programs for Afghan students and a localized digital literacy app) to help underprivileged children continue their education.

We are a development agency working to alleviate poverty by creating educational opportunities for disadvantaged children.

HOW WE ARE ORGANIZED Justice for Children and Youth is the operating name of the Canadian Foundation for Children, Youth & the Law, Inc. The Foundation is an Ontario non-share capital corporation with charitable status. It is administered by a 15 member Board of Directors who are elected at our Annual General meeting. The corporation itself is made up of members who pay a yearly fee or one life-time fee (sustaining member). Justice for Children and Youth has a small staff of 4 lawyers and 2 support staff. In addition we have many volunteers, students and others who work on specific projects on a contract basis. In addition to representing clients, our lawyers also perform public legal education and law reform work. One lawyer spends half of the time working on community development projects and outreach.
