Established in 2005, GEANCO saves and transforms lives in Africa. We conduct complex surgical missions to Nigeria, and through our system of modern, solar-powered maternal and family health clinics, we help poor, vulnerable pregnant women safely deliver healthy babies. Our David Oyelowo Leadership Scholarship for Girls provides tuition, healthcare, and social & psychological support to young female survivors of terrorism and gender inequality in Nigeria. Heifer International's mission is to end hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth in a sustainable way by supporting and investing alongside local farmers and their communities. Since 1944, Heifer has helped transform more than 52 million households by working in partnership with the communities we serve. Our programs support entrepreneurs around the world, creating lasting change from the ground up. It begins with a seed investment of livestock or agriculture, followed by mentorship to help project participants build a business, and ultimately to gain access to supply chains and markets. These families are able to earn a living income and continuously lift up their communities as they train the next generation of leaders. Unify Women is on a mission to empower young women in the foster care system, court involved, homeless or out of school. Our goal is for them to learn, grow and heal. By educating them and showing them how to run a business, we will empower otherwise struggling young women. They will have a better outcome with their education, their work and their lives.
