IsraAID's mission is to effectively support and meet the changing needs of populations as they move from crisis to reconstruction, rehabilitation, and eventually, to sustainable living. This commitment is expressed in emergency relief and sustainable development, with an emphasis on the transition between them.

The Calgary Zoological Society was officially founded in 1929. Key to the zoo’s mission is generating affection for the amazing animals that call the zoo home, and inspiring people to care about their wild relatives. Our education team delivers more than 800 school programs to 21,000 students each year focusing on topics ranging from water conservation to saving endangered species. The ultimate goal is to motivate the next generation to take action. The Calgary Zoo’s Centre for Conservation Research conducts innovative research and participates in reintroduction programs that help secure the future of many Canadian endangered species. In addition, conservation initiatives throughout the world are identified and supported through the zoo’s Conservation Outreach. Over the past five years, more than 25 projects were supported in 20 countries and most involve community-based initiatives – helping local people to participate in conservation efforts in their own backyard.

Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre located in Mount Brydges, Ontario is actively involved in serving Canadians providing both wild animal care and public education. Over 850 animals and birds are admitted annually including Bald Eagles, Chimney Swifts, Eastern Fox Snakes and Peregrine Falcons all presently listed as an Animal of Special Concern as outlined by the Ministry of Natural Resources Species at Risk in Ontario (SARO) List. Salthaven is licensed by the Canadian Wildlife Service and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (OMNR). It is a challenge to meet the costs of food, housing, medical supplies and veterinary services each year. Efforts are ongoing to raise funds to accomodate over 4000 calls for help every year. Although licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, the centre relies on a team of 100 volunteers, donations and philanthropy to provide care for sick, injured or orphaned wildlife.

The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) protects Canada's most threatened natural habitats and the species that call them home. Since 1962, NCC and its supporters have protected more than 2.7 million acres (1.1 million hectares) of ecologically sensitive land nationwide.

Camp Fircom is a remote summer camp for children, youth and families. We strive to provide positive and supportive camping/outdoor experiences for all people, regardless of their ability to pay. We have a focus on creating a strong social atmosphere, and providing youth with transformative experiences of responsibility and leadership.

For many years the Friends of Quetico Park, has sponsored summer students for assistance with the Park’s summer programs. By assisting programs such as the Natural Heritage Program, an educational program run for youth that visit Dawson Trail Campground, we have helped educate Canada’s youth about the beauty and cultural wonders of our park. We have assisted the John B. Ridley Library with numerous students over the years to support library services. We have purchased books and shelving units for the library to broaden its collection and its appeal to all visitors to the Dawson Trail Pavilion. DARE (Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education) Network is a grassroots national NGO. DARE Network provides culturally appropriate non-medical treatment & prevention education to reduce substance abuse & associated social issues within the communities of displaced ethnic people from Burma, along the Thai/Burma border. DARE Network envisions the strength of ethnic people from Burma to use the power of recovery from addiction as a non-violent means to resist oppression. A Free Mind Cannot Be Destroyed.

The International Association for Human Values (IAHV) offers programs to reduce stress and develop leaders so that human values can flourish in people and communities. We foster the daily practice of human values - a sense of connectedness and respect for all people and the natural environment, an attitude of non-violence, and an ethic of social service. Our programs enhance clarity of mind, shift attitudes and behaviours, and develop leaders and communities that are resilient, responsible, and inspired.

Established in 1976, Churchill Research Centre, Inc., operating as the Churchill Northern Studies Centre (CNSC) is a registered Canadian charity (CRN 10096 61 75 RP0001). Members of the local community, university researchers and government officials founded the CNSC in 1976 to promote and support northern-based research and education. While supported in part by the Manitoba Department of Advanced Education, the CNSC is neither an extension of government nor a university-owned field station. The Centre is operated by a Board of Directors, an on site administrative staff and volunteers.

We support students and teachers in the K-12 school system, with curriculum-relevant education programs in topics related to energy, water, waste, forests and land use, and climate change. We provide free classroom presentations, outdoor field studies, classroom resource materials, and professional development programs for teachers.

The Wye Marsh is a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to connecting people to nature and promoting an understanding of the vital role wetlands play in the environment. Year-round educational and recreational programs for all ages and interests in both official languages are designed to kindle the appreciation and enjoyment of this unique wildlife habitat. You can become a Wye Marsh supporter though many different ways: Adopt a Swan, Adopt a Wild Bird, or Adopt a Bird of Prey.
