Grey Sauble Conservation is one of a network of 36 Conservation Authorities in Ontario. Established under the Conservation Authorities Act, Grey Sauble owns and manages 11,450 hectares (28,292 acres) of some of the most scenic and environmentally sensitive lands in Grey and Bruce Counties.

We accomplish this by: • Developing community partnerships and providing rewarding opportunities for our staff and volunteers. • Providing a comprehensive resource centre and meeting place, which facilitates the sharing of knowledge within the horticulture community. • Providing horticulture education. • Demonstrating responsible stewardship of our forest and wetlands through sound habitat restoration, conservation and agro forestry practices. • Developing and maintaining diverse north Pacific demonstration gardens, designed to educate visitors on good horticulture practices and to provide public enjoyment.

Lower Trent Conservation (LTC) works to safeguard and restore our rivers, lakes and streams, protect and restore natural habitats, protect lives and property from natural hazards, and provide opportunities for the public to learn from, enjoy and respect the natural environment. As well, LTC holds almost 3,700 acres of natural space in public trust. They are special places in the watershed where the natural world comes first. LTC provides flood protection, watershed restoration and environmental advisory services. We perform preventative work in the knowledge that it is the most practical and cost-effective way to manage our watershed resources. We conduct studies, monitor conditions, interpret the information and inform our partner municipalities and the watershed community.

The purpose of the MVCA is to protect water and related resources for present and future generations. The activities of the MVCA are driven by local municipalities, landowners and community organizations. We are committed to providing effective community-based conservation services in a cost efficient manner. We're excited to be launching Footprints to Forests, a new fund that enables donors to calculate their carbon footprint and then compensate for annual Green House Gas emissions by planting trees. Trees help to reduce the impacts of climate change and also provide benefits such as biodiversity and improved water quality. Donations to the Carbon Footprints to Forests program will be used to plant trees in Conservation Areas in the Maitland watershed. Visit www.footprintstoforests to calculate your carbon footprint. Donors are welcome to compensate for their whole carbon footprint or a portion of it. We welcome smaller donations, every tree counts!

Green Action Centre is where Manitobans turn for information on greener living. Programs and services include the annual Commuter Challenge, Composting, Workplace Commuter Options, Living Green Living Well, Environmental Speakers Bureau for schools, Active and Safe Routes to School, Master Composter Training, Waste Reduction Week, "Bougeons en hiver: Jack Frost Challenge" and representations to decision-makers on policies concerning climate change, waste and transportation. The Kerry Wood Nature Centre, Fort Normandeau and the entire Waskasoo Park Interpretive Program are part of the Waskasoo Environmental Education Society (WEES), incorporated on January 1, 2008 as a registered, non-profit charity under the Societies’ Act. WEES is a continuation under a new name of the former Normandeau Cultural and Natural History Society, incorporated 10 March 1989.

The Lung Association, Manitoba is a member of the Canadian Lung Association, which has been working to improve the lung health of Canadians for over 100 years. We are a non-profit, registered health organization that relies on donations from the public to fund our activities. We are the premier source of lung health information and initiatives in Manitoba. Our efforts are focused on lung disease education & management, tobacco cessation & prevention, improved air quality & environment, tuberculosis and occupational health services. SES is committed to a healthy environment and sustainable resource use in Saskatchewan. We work to encourage informed decision-making that moves us towards sustainability. We undertake research, and use education, community outreach, consultation opportunities and demonstration projects. For over 30 years, SES has established a reputation for responsible, intelligent work. SES has been a primary influence on policy related to energy, land-use planning, forestry, hazardous materials, and renewable and non-renewable resource development. Through our educational programs we have reached thousands of young Saskatchewanians. The way we use water will be one of the major sustainability issues we will be working on. The renewed interest in nuclear power will require careful monitoring, research and critique. Climate change will bring new demands on our ingenuity. Our province, our country and our world need a strong, well-staffed and stable SES as we move into this future.

SEEDS Connections provides quality leadership, environmental, energy, and diversity education resources for Canadian educators and their students K-12. SEEDS Connections has rewarding, curriculum fit programs that support cooperative efforts with other environmental initiatives and organizations.
