Friends of Lakeside Nature Center, Inc., (FOLNC) is the support group for Lakeside Nature Center (LNC) in Swope Park. Lakeside Nature Center provides educational and recreational activities focusing on environmental awareness and conservation of native Missouri plants and animals and their habitats. Conservation activities include environmental education, habitat restoration and urban waterway management. Wildlife rehabilitation is a key component of LNC's mission. Programs are designed to meet the social, cultural, and physical needs of our diverse and changing community for today and for the future. FOLNC has continued in this mission since 1983.

Their community of professional caregivers creates a safe, secure and healing environment for those impacted by abuse, neglect and mental or behavioral health needs. They make the hurting stop, the healing begin and the love last, one family at a time.
