INNOVATIONS IN CONCERT

Innovations en concert was founded in 1994 to support diversity in the creation of new chamber music by presenting and promoting concerts, special events, and other activities. We serve musicians and audiences alike by facilitating contact between artists, giving musicians an opportunity to create music which uses unusual groupings and settings, and stimulating the composition of new works.

ARTSTARTS IN SCHOOLS

Art starts something in the brain. It establishes a foundation on which other forms of learning are built. Art inspires, teaches, and communicates. At ArtStarts, we believe that all children deserve fair and equal access to creative inspiration and experiences. Founded in 1996, ArtStarts brings artists into schools across British Columbia. From live performances in gymnasiums to in-class professional artist residencies, our programs take place in public and private schools from kindergarten to grade 12. ArtStarts' gallery and resource centre, in the heart of downtown Vancouver, houses Canada’s first gallery for young people’s art and a resource centre for BC’s arts-in-education professionals. The centre offers young people, artists and educators a venue for reflection, research, debate and much-needed celebration of their creativity.

Connected in Motion

We are people with Type 1 diabetes who share a vision: To create a culture of support and engagement in diabetes self-management through peer-based experiential diabetes education, physical activity and outdoor adventure pursuits. By creating a community that is motivating, supporting and inspiring individuals to take charge of their health today, we are helping to improve the quality of life for people with diabetes now and tomorrow.
