Our mission is to serve Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) in Gulu and the communities around by providing essential services in Education, Healthcare, Protection, and Christian programs, all while bolstering the strength of families and communities.

TFCF is a non-government organization that dedicates itself to award needy children and their families with welfare and benefits. From the financial support through foreign donors in the very early beginning, we are now a self-independent organization whose mission and vision still remain on the consideration of needy children's benefits. We aim at promoting and advocating for the wellbeing of children, youth, and underprivileged families. We hope to be the beacon of hope to assist those needy children and their families regardless of the religion, ethnics or gender.

Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children promotes early identification and intervention of hearing impairment and provides learning in a rich auditory-oral environment so that children with hearing loss can develop to their maximum potential through listening, language and speech.

Supports children with leukemia and their families by providing medical treatment, financial assistance, and long-term rehabilitation programs.

Our Preschool and Kindergarten programs provide children the opportunity to learn through play and through the arts, which nurtures their intellectual and their creative development. Our exceptional staff works to build trusting relationships with every child; It is through these early relationships that children learn to think, understand, communicate, express emotions, and to develop their social skills. Our co-founder Marion Austin strongly believed in empowering our Haitian children with the tools that they need to succeed, knowing they could one day become Christian leaders and role models in the Haitian society.

ABC Ontario is a provincially incorporated, all volunteer, federally registered charity (number 118777275 RR001) Since 1977, ABC has worked with parents, school boards, the Ministry and many stakeholders to meet the needs of bright and gifted learners in Ontario. ABC is represented on school board special education advisory committees and the Minister’s Advisory Council on Special Education. Giftedness is recognised as needing special education support under the Education Act. ABC provides newsletters, networking, local workshops and a conference for educators and parents. Through Chapters and volunteers, ABC supports families with advocacy and parent information sessions on identification, placement, education plans, and other special education issues. We believe in fostering self-reliance, promoting social equity, and creating opportunities for marginalized populations.

HOW CAN I HELP? Every day you hear of poverty and social injustice at home and abroad. People sometimes find it easier to ignore this reality, not from a cold heart but believing they can be of little or no significance. But our work has shown that it is ordinary people who can and do make an extraordinary difference. No one person or group can solve all the problems, but we can support the suffering and stand with them in solidarity, helping them make the necessary changes to improve their lives. What may seem very little, like a fund drive in a school, community, or church, a donation, or giving your time and service, together is a whole lot. Since most poverty and injustices are human-made, they can be unmade. Relieving poverty and injustice can and will be achieved with the good will and involvement of large numbers of people.
