The African Dream Initiative gives promising but disadvantaged children the resources to become Africa's future leaders. Infrastructure projects will be chosen from applications received from East African communities and monitored by a committee of volunteer CanAssist trustees. Communities will be invited to submit application for funding based on their needs and be responsible for regular reporting during and on completion of the adopted project. Our work supports all members of a community rather than focusing on individuals or programmes. ( i.e. We build classrooms rather than giving school fees for a selected child. We provide clinic equipment, not funds for salaries or programmes at a hospital.)
