The National Endowment for Financial Education has deep roots in the financial services industry, as well as in the field of education. NEFE was founded as the parent organization of the nation's first financial planning educational institution, which was incorporated in 1972. Today, the National Endowment operates as a 501 (c) (3) foundation devoted exclusively to helping Americans improve the quality of their lives through an exposure to basic programs and materials that promote positive and sound financial decision-making. NEFE accomplishes its mission primarily by partnering with other concerned organizations to provide financial education to members of the public in particular, to underserved individuals whose financial education needs are not being addressed by others.

The Aspen Foundation for Labour Education works to educate youth to allow them to work, live, and participate fully in a democratic society. Founded in 1972, the American Indian Higher Education Consortium provides leadership and influences public policy on American Indian higher education issues through advocacy, research, and program initiatives; promotes and strengthens Indigenous languages, cultures, communities and tribal nations; and provides a wide array of technical assistance support to member institutions and emerging tribal colleges. Today, AIHEC is composed of 36 Tribal Colleges and Universities in the United States and one in Canada that are tribally controlled and provide higher educational opportunities that are locally and culturally-based to American Indians. AIHEC's vision is sovereign tribal nations through excellence in higher education.

The William S. Hart Education Foundation(WiSH) is dedicated to quality public education for all students. The Democracy Education Network (DEN) coordinates educational programs that teach Canadians how to be effective advocates for their concerns as participants in government and big business decision-making processes. DEN is a registered research and education charity incorporated federally in September 1993 (Charitable Registration Number 88604 4999 RR 0001). DEN also teaches governments how to engage Canadians in meaningful and respectful ways when making decisions or policy changes. DEN is non-partisan and supported by donations from Canadians and grants from foundations.

The Midwest Center for Holocaust Education (MCHE) teaches the history of the Holocaust, applying its lessons to counter indifference, intolerance, and genocide.
