The Environmental Education Commission is a not-for-profit trust that operates the Brother Brennan Centre in Deerpark off Salmonier Line. See www.brotherbrennancentre.ca for details of the BBC. The Centre has a seasonal staff of five persons for cooking, cleaning, and maintenance and two teaching assistants. Through the fall and spring terms the Centre provides residential environmental education to about 1800 grade 6-8 students from the Newfoundland schools. The Centre is also available to community groups or for private bookings during the summer months or weekends and is closed from early December until the beginning of May.

The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) has a successful history of contributing to the scientific leadership of this country. CEE was founded in 1983 by the late Admiral H. G. Rickover, the father of the nuclear navy and of civilian uses of nuclear power and Joann DiGennaro, CEE's President. They recognized that the nurturing of careers of excellence and leadership in science and technology in young scholars is an essential investment in our national and global future. CEE is a private, (501)(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that provides cost-free programs to its student scholars through collaboration with educational institutions, private foundations, corporations and government agencies who share a commitment to educational excellence and leadership in science and technology. Central to all of CEE's programs is the understanding that talent in scientific and mathematical disciplines achieves its greatest fulfillment of promise when it is nurtured from an early age. All programs are designed to provide the ongoing nurturing that will assure that the nation and the world benefit from the future leadership that will come from fulfillment of the promise shown by the students accepted to participate.
The Harris Center connects people of all ages to the natural world through environmental education, land protection and stewardship, and conservation research. It runs school and community programs and community‑science projects while protecting and stewarding conserved lands in the Monadnock Region to support wildlife and public access.
Established in 1909, Lanzhou University is a prestigious national key comprehensive university directly administered by the Ministry of Education. The foundation endeavors to implement diverse initiatives systematically to create new opportunities comprehensively while promoting educational advancement at Lanzhou University. Upholding principles such as standardization, transparency, efficiency, safety, and service excellence; this Foundation manages various donations ensuring their utilization aligns fully with donor intentions alongside foundational purposes. Based on actual needs identified within campus activities-including personnel training programs; alumni engagement events; infrastructure projects; scientific research innovations; social welfare initiatives; career development funds-the Foundation seeks to invigorate university growth. Since inception, the Foundation has successfully passed annual inspections conducted by China's Ministry of Civil Affairs each year while obtaining pre-tax deduction qualifications for contributions made by public welfare organizations. In 2017,it underwent evaluation by National Social Organization Evaluation Committee under said ministry receiving an AAAA rating designation. In June2020,it achieved recognition as charitable organization granted by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Looking ahead, taking into account support from alumni and various sectors within society, this Foundation will adhere steadfastly to its motto "self-improvement and creating a school of its own", focusing on internal development while pursuing strategies aimed at strengthening the university through human resources. Power of Education Africa Foundation provides the funds for school fees, room and board, transportation, tutoring and counselling, if needed, and other personal expenses for deserving candidates. We assist them to gain admission to good boarding schools, day schools, colleges, polytechnic institutes and other institutions, so that they will have a better chance in life.
PIE was established to bring much needed financial and educational resources to beleaguered high schools in Ghana . Over the past fifteen-plus years, our mission has expanded to include the provision of scholarship grants to deserving high school students in the cities we operate and raise funds, as well as the promotion of cross-cultural understanding between high school students in the USA and Ghana. The resources we mobilize are used to improve the quality of education for students in underserved high schools in Ghana, facilitate effective interaction with their counterparts in the United States, and send deserving students in the United States to college. We seek to accomplish our mission by: ◾Providing computers, library books, science lab equipment, and teaching resources to high schools in Ghana ◾Providing scholarship grants to college-bound high school students in the United States ◾Making grants for infrastructure development in high schools in Ghana ◾Sponsoring educational outreach and exchange programs for American and Ghanaian high school students and teachers As a philanthropic organization, our charity feels that it’s important to demonstrate our core values in everything we do. The Milwaukee Area Health Education Center (Milwaukee-AHEC) connects students to careers, professionals to communities, and communities to better health. Since 1992, Milwaukee-AHEC has worked to forge collaborative partnerships with health-related employers, community-based organizations, academic institutions, and other sectors to advance community and public health that will impact health outcomes.
JPEC's ultimate goal is the creation of a first-class venue which will feature performances by top local, national and international jazz talent; educational programming in which fans of all ages can learn about jazz; and a Hall of Fame and Archives which will help to preserve the tradition of outstanding jazz in Canada. The facility will enhance Toronto’s reputation as one of the best cities in North America in which to experience live jazz.
Major capital priorities of the Foundation over the next three years, as identified by MECCS, include: Property Acquisition: purchase of the St. John’s School property - $4,000,000 Property Improvements and Ongoing Maintenance - $525,000 based on Alberta Education physical plant assessment Capital Purchases: kitchen steamer system, commercial dishwasher, boilers - $60,000 FOMEF, as part of its mandate, also provides grants to the school in support of program needs including student transportation and the hot lunch program.
Through the highest-quality holistic education, we equip youth to become leaders in their communities. IEFT operates Orkeeswa School, a community- based secondary school located in an under- served Maasai village in the Monduli Hills of northern Tanzania. By offering our students a diverse array of programs, opportunities and resources, we are developing a generation of well-rounded and inspired leaders in Orkeeswa Village, who are equipped and motivated to make a positive impact on their communities. Each member of IEFT's international and Tanzanian staff is dedicated to supporting the growth and development of Orkeeswa's over 270 students.
Established in 2004, Garden State Equality (GSE) is the largest LGBT education and advocacy organization in New Jersey and one of the most successful statewide civil rights organization for the LGBT community in the nation. Our services include advocacy, policy work, and trainings. Our signature programs are: Map & Expand, Pledge & Protect, and Teach & Affirm. In collaboration with community partners, Garden State Equality led efforts to ensure nondiscrimination for transgender people and gender nonconforming people in New Jersey, we passed the most comprehensive anti-bullying law in the country, ended sexual orientation and gender identity/expression change efforts in New Jersey (sometimes called conversion therapy), and brought marriage equality to the Garden State! All our current work is informed by racial, economic, and disability justice concerns. We are working to address safe environments for youth, improvement of health services that meet LGBT community needs, and respectful treatment of seniors. Beyond that, Garden State Equality supports New Jersey's activist community by bringing an LGBT lens to the shared struggle for justice. Garden State Equality Education Fun, Inc. is a member of the Equality Federation, a non-profit under the IRS Code Section 501(c)(3), and has achieved a platinum seal of transparency from Guidestar (See https://www.guidestar.org/profile/20-2588166).
