Project Vote is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to the belief that an organized, diverse electorate is the key to a better America. Since 1994 Project Vote has worked to increase civic participation in the United States, focusing on three historically underrepresented constituencies: youth, people of color, and lower-income Americans.

East Bay Center for the Performing Arts provides rigorous, tuition-free performing-arts training and community programs that engage youth and young adults (particularly from Richmond) in music, dance, theater, and media; the Center aims to develop artistic skill, leadership, and community-centered creative work while advancing equity and opportunity.

Our mission is to deliver access to the benefits of high-quality, tuition-free music education. Through intensive instruction and performance, our students achieve excellence in music that transfers to other areas in life. They grow musically, socially, emotionally and intellectually, and develop a foundation of responsibility, self-esteem, resilience and purpose.

Magnificat Maternal Health Project is a program of Maternal Life International. The mission of Maternal Life International is to promote safe births and nurture secure families through couple-centered healthcare and education. Devoted in all its work to respecting the life and dignity of all persons, born and unborn, MLI provides training, resources, and advocacy that help advance maternal and family health in Africa, Haiti, and beyond.

The mission of the ACCE Institute is to improve the lives of low income and working families in California by carrying out and supporting work that fosters community improvement and civic participation. The ACCE Institute conducts research on critical issues of concern to low- and moderate-income communities, educates the public and policy-makers about these issues, and provides capacity-building trainings to individuals and organizations. Additionally, the ACCE Institute works to increase the civic engagement of low–and – moderate income communities by helping local organizations develop non-partisan civic engagement efforts that encourage active public citizenship and voting in low and moderate-income communities.

PLAN exists to deepen democracy, transform power and achieve greater justice in Nevada. We employ leadership development, grassroots organizing, policy advocacy and direct action to build power with our communities.

Public Citizen Foundation is the 501(c)(3) arm of Public Citizen that advances consumer protection, government accountability, and public-interest policy through research, public education, and litigation. Its work focuses on making government and corporations more accountable, protecting health and safety, and defending consumers’ rights.

American Majority is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, helping put in place the nation’s new, conservative grassroots political infrastructure. We use cutting-edge training and technology to empower individuals and groups with the most effective tools for promoting liberty through limited government. Over the past eight years, American Majority has conducted over 960 trainings in 46 different states, training over 35,500 activists and candidates.

The Latina leadership initiative of greater Des Moines empowers young Latina women to become our next generation of leaders.

The Population Council is dedicated to improving the reproductive health and well-being of the most vulnerable individuals in developing countries. Council researchers focus their efforts on three programs: HIV and AIDS; Poverty, Gender, and Youth; and Reproductive Health. Researchers draw on the multidisciplinary knowledge of colleagues from their own program as well as the other two programs to think broadly in developing, implementing, and testing programs that can help improve people's lives. The Council has a network of offices in 18 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East and over 500 staff members who hail from 33 countries. An international board of 15 individuals from 6 countries governs the organization. Council headquarters and biomedical laboratories are located in New York. The Council also has an office in Washington DC.
