To reduce the burden of human cancer, research conducted at the Institute for Cancer Research of Fox Chase Cancer Center for over eight decades has led to ground-breaking discoveries affecting science and medicine today. Current research programs are wide-ranging and include gene expression; molecular aspects of oncogenesis; viral molecular biology and pathogenesis; molecular structure and function analysis; pharmacology and therapeutics; regulation and development of the immune system; cell-cycle control; and human genetics. Opportunities are available for postdoctoral fellowships and graduate training and for professionals interested in developing technology-based business relationships or partnerships with Fox Chase.

The Shakespeare Company (TSC) bridges the truths of the past with the challenges of today through fresh, brave, and highly accessible performances. For 17 seasons, TSC has used the works of William Shakespeare to strike at the heart of what it means to be human in our rawest moments.

The Bill 7 Award Trust provides scholarships for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, 2-spirited and queer youth who are in financial need and are enrolled in their first program at any post-secondary institution in Ontario. It is named after the 1986 Ontario legislation that extended the protection of the Human Rights Code to lesbians and gay men. Bill 7 Award is directed and administered by a Board of Trustees made up of representatives from two community groups: Community One and Supporting Our Youth (a program of Sherbourne Health Centre). By building a capital trust fund, Bill 7 Award is able to leverage contributions that are made to provide scholarships for many years to come. In recent years, Bill 7 Award has been able to grant 4 awards of $2,000 each to very deserving LGBTT2SQ students. Donations may be designated to be invested in the capital fund, disbursed in the following year, or this decision can be left to the discretion of the trustees.

Because democracies rely upon a well-educated citizenry, CCLET’s mission is to engage Canadians in developing the habits they need to participate in the democratic process. Among the outreach programmes of the Canadian Civil Liberties Trust are Civil Liberties in the Schools and Teaching Civil Liberties. These programs focus on getting students to ask critical questions about their rights and freedoms. By shining the light of inquiry on unfairness, we begin the process of change. Through CCLET guest speakers, conferences, and workshops for schools and community organizations, participants are engaged in lively discussions about their rights and freedoms and the important legal and civil liberties issues created by a pluralistic society. Particular emphasis is on providing programmes for student teachers, and high school law and social studies students.

Kairos Music Academy's mission is to inspire a deep sense of humanity through the art of choral music at a formative time in children’s development. AASEE is dedicated to advancing science and engineering education at the K-12 level. We work directly with students in the classroom. AASEE designs curriculum-based and fun hands-on activities through collaborative research, where we try to ensure a maximum engagement of teachers and parents along with the students. We provide training and resources to pre-university educators. We also create opportunities for the students to learn directly from experts and leaders in the respective fields. AASEE gives priority to diverse populations, namely Canada’s first nations peoples, girls, and those in financial need, as well as rural populations. We are mandated to work across the globe, and are implementing an ambitious plan. At AASEE we target tomorrow´s leaders in science and engineering who will be working with a true passion. We believe advancing science and engineering education is the right way to go, and the right thing to do.

Body Wisdom, Inc.'s mission is to spread InterPlay. InterPlay is a global social movement dedicated to ease, connection, human sustainability and play. It is an active, creative way to unlock the wisdom of the body. This 20-year-old system is based in a series of incremental "forms" that lead participants to movement and stories, silence and song.
