Holy Name of Mary College School is an independent, not-for-profit institution supported by St. Michael’s College School. Southern Africa Embrace (SAE)Foundation is an International Charitable Organization founded in 2010 in Toronto, Canada. SAE Foundation is committed to advocating, supporting and promoting the wellbeing of marginalized women and children/orphans (0-16yrs) in the Southern African countries of Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Republic of South Africa and Zimbabwe. It is the hope of SAE Foundation to sponsor and work in collaboration with selected clinics, shelters, educational organizations, orphanages, religious organizations, NGO's, individuals and corporate firms to advance its mission. SAE Foundation believes in equality for all regardless of sex, religion, ethnicity, status, age and educational background. The organization is founded and stands firm on the principles of equality for all, compassion, love, dignity, care and respect for each life/persons

The American Studies Center is a non-partisan educational organization approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a public foundation operating under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code. The American Studies Center engages in nonpartisan analysis, study and research into the interrelationship of governmental systems, activities and policies on the private sector, and to make the results available to the general public through conferences, publications and radio and television productions. One of the Center’s programs is “Radio America.” Radio America produces daily and weekly programs and documentaries covering a wide range of current public policy issues.  The American Studies Center’s other program is the American Veterans Center, whose mission is to preserve and pass on to future generations, the legacy of America’s fighting men and women of every generation.    

viBe Theater Experience (viBe) produces original, free theater, music and videos about real-life issues written and performed by teen girls. We provide a safe, creative space for under-served girls to express their voices, take on challenges and gain the self-confidence necessary to succeed personally, artistically and academically. viBe empowers girls through free programs, which engage and inspire them to write, create, publish, direct and perform personal and truthful collaborative theater and music. Since 2002, over 60 viBe productions have brought free theater, live musical performances, music videos and radio plays to thousands of diverse audience members, changing their perceptions about the kind of art that young women can create.

To develop men into servant-first leaders worldwide; to train men to discover and live out their created-for purpose in authentic community as a Band of Brothers, loving husbands and fathers, and as followers of Jesus, the ultimate servant leader; to leverage the advance of the Kingdom of God on earth by aligning with like-minded social activist and faith-based organizations to bind up the broken hearted, empower the poor, rescue women and children at risk, mentor and rehabilitate prisoners, set free those who are bound in chains, and awaken those who sleep. And while doing so with all diligence and genuine humility, acknowledging and deflecting any and all credit or praise to our Father in Heaven who gave us life, the will and love to serve others, and every gift we have to give.

The National Farmers Foundation has a board of directors made up of five persons known for their commitment to education and research for the benefit of the family farm in Canada. The directors are in sympathy with the goals, objectives, and policy of the National Farmers Union. Representatives of various sectors in the country, such as family farmers, organic product marketers, new rural development groups, churches, rural youth and women, and urban consumers supported the establishment of the organization. Many of these have identified a vacuum with respect to accessible education and plain language research to help direct the crucial ventures in rural development which will mean not only survival, but the thriving of rural communities into the twenty - first century. A new awareness of the interdependence of rural and urban communities creates a challenge to promote action-oriented education and research which will create and enhance positive rural/urban cooperation.

In any given year Search and Rescue groups in BC respond to nearly 1000 incidents involving over 1300 missing (lost) or injured persons. Our 2500 unpaid professional volunteers, located in more than 80 BC communities are available day or night. Together these men and women donate over 100,000 hours of their time on callouts annually, and an astounding 95% subjects were found or rescued within the first 24 hours of a volunteer SAR group being activated. This volunteer service offers tremendous value for citizens and visitors alike. The cost to replace this volunteer service in direct salary dollars alone would exceed $5,000,000 annually (excluding infrastructure and capital costs, which are estimated at over 50 million dollars). BCSARA is proud of its role in making this service better.

Elimu is an international development organization based in Ottawa, Canada. We began undertaking projects in Kenya in 2006 as private individuals. Elimu was incorporated in January 2011 and received official charitable status from the Canadian government in March 2012. We are a board of directors of three Canadians. We also have a dynamic board of advisors and a volunteer administrator in Ottawa. The “office” of Elimu is a virtual set up run between Ottawa, Canada and Malindi, Kenya. For this reason there is currently only a P.O. Box address. Our Founder covers the overhead costs of the Canadian organization so that our donors' dollars go straight into projects. Our projects include a small home for children, building a nursery school for a village community and supporting young women to gain income-generating skills.

Our youth programs begin with babes and extend right up to toddlers, tweens and teens. We have a vibrant adult literacy program at the Main Branch called 'Read On'. Your Library card gives you access to fabulous databases like Ancestry.ca and Mango. Use it to download your favourite eBooks, eAudiobooks and magazines. Borrow DVDs from our amazing Blockbusters Collection and take a bestseller home today from the popular TopReads Collection. In 2012 730,460 people visted the Library.

Community Voices Heard is an organization of low income people, mostly women on welfare and public housing residents, working together to improve the lives of our members' families and all poor people in New York City and State. We are directed, run and being built by low-income people. We are a growing grass roots organization that uses public education, public policy research, community organizing, leadership development, voter education & mobilization, and direct action issue organizing to build our membership and to organize around issues that are defined by our membershiwe broadly define "welfare activism" to be multi issue, and thus must include issues such as education, training, jobs, housing, economic development and other community issues. We fill a critical gap in that our organization connects public policy with grass roots organizing and leadership development.

Located in an easily accessible building at Yonge & Eglinton, WSC has established a business environment which provides immigrants with Canadian workplace experience, settlement counselling and referrals to needed services, technical skills training in accounting and office administration, and bridge-to-work programs. Client feedback is extremely positive, relected in the fact that the majority of referrals are word of mouth from satisfied customers. The agency works in collaboration with other organzations serving women, immigrants and the unemployed including several umbrella groups and Memorandums of Understanding with other programs to ensure that clients receive all needed services. A donation of just $10.00 per month = a subsidy for an isolated woman to take a needed skills upgrade; A donation of just $500 = a subsidy for a newcomer to enrol in Diploma program and receive Canadian credentials; A donation of just $200 = career exploration and work placement services

We offer a variety of programs to help adult learners develop their own goals and pursue their dreams related to employment, training, education or independence. Our Programs: 1.One-to-one tutoring program Tutors and learners meet for at least two hours weekly to work on the goals set by the learner. 2. Small group learning program Staff facilitate small learning groups, each with a different focus, including Diversity Action Group, For the Love of Words, math, Real Life Writing, Spelling and Women's Group. 3. Learning with computers Learners use the Internet and adaptive technology to work toward their goals and overcome both physical barriers and learning disabilities. 4. Family Literacy Program Free program for parents/ caregivers and preschool aged children (birth to six years) to develop early literacy skills.
