Heritage Christian School, which began in 1986, is a ministry of Kelowna Christian Centre (KCC). HCS is a private, co-educational, non-profit school, Preschool to Grade 12, that was given recognition (Group 1 rating) by the BC Ministry of Education. All teaching staff are fully certified by either the Independent School Branch or the British Columbia College of Teachers.

PCS is a preschool-12 Christian School in Victoria, BC. Elephant Thoughts is a registered Canadian charity, founded in 2002 by a group of teachers, principals, and other professional educators. Our mandate is to promote high standards of education worldwide despite economic or geographic barriers, while supporting initiatives which propagate cultural understanding and sharing among school-aged children. We contribute to a state of universal education and literacy by supporting schools, training teachers, and by making new technologies in education and opportunities for continued education accessible. We are a unique charity in that over 80% of our funds are generated by our own initiatives. The organization is built on a thriving business of creating, marketing, and delivering effective educational programs to Canadian educational organizations, schools, museums, community centers, and event planners. Our solid foundation allows for 100% of every donation to go exactly where the doner wishes, none is lost to administration.

Rockway Mennonite Collegiate is located in Kitchener, Ontario in Waterloo Region, just one hour west of Toronto. Founded in 1945, our school currently serves a diverse population of 280+ students in grades 7-12. Rockway maintains a strong and supportive relationship with congregations in Mennonite Church Eastern Canada, a conference of 90 Mennonite congregations. About 40% of our students come from Mennonite congregations, while the balance represent a diversity of Christian denominations as well as other faiths. Our student body includes more than 50 international students from eight different countries. As an inspected and accredited private school, Rockway's teachers are certified by the Ontario College of Teachers and use the Ontario Ministry of Education Curriculum to offer a challenging and supportive environment for learning. Over 90% of Rockway's graduates are accepted into post-secondary programs of choice in university and college.

The Grants Program is the legacy of the Foundation. Each year over $30,000 is given to teachers to run projects not supported by the operational funds of schools. We also have many programs designed to ensure all students can maximize their learning and their success rate. We provide for hungry kids, we purchase snowsuits and boots for those in need and help with annual Christmas baskets.

As the seminary for the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, we equip and educate future pastors, leaders, missionaries, counsellors and teachers for congregational or marketplace ministry within the Mennonite Brethren constituency. Our goal for every student is that they become a passionate and committed follower of Jesus, biblically astute and theologically aware, culturally discerning and active in mission through lifelong learning and training opportunities.

It is our belief that the program of education that best supports this mission is the Montessori educational system, and as such our on-going objective is to be the foremost provider of Montessori education in the London region. Our team strongly believes the best way to accomplish our mission is to support children from Toddler through Grade 8 using the extent of Montessori methods and materials, exceptional teachers, outstanding programs, facilities and activities.

WHO WE HELP...African children, especially orphans by providing curriculum and supplies and assisting African teachers. Many governments are overwhelmed by their national needs. In some countries, local groups organise schools with whatever limited resources they have available. By partnerships with national NGO’s (Non-Governmental Organizations), we transfer donor funds and materials to meet local educational needs. WHERE WE HELP...Since 1997 our focus has been in Zambia in south-central Africa, In 2003 Malawi also began receiving assistance, as well. Since 2000 more than 20,000 African students and their communities benefitted through EWB offices in Zambia. HOW WE HELP... We organize gifts of supplies and quality curriculum with a character-building focus. ...Pupil books for the primary curriculum are printed in Zambia. ...We provide annual teacher training, and small honoraria to supplement low wages paid by parents through school committees.

With learning as its primary focus, the Limestone Learning Foundation raises funds from individual donors, businesses & corporations, service clubs, granting organizations, special events, memorial gifts, legacy gifts (bequests, life insurance), gifts of stocks, etc. Teachers submit applications twice per year for grants to support creative enhanced learning projects which will help make learning come alive for their students. Funding is provided for materials/supplies, minor equipment, specialized reading/math/art supplies etc. for these projects but funding is not provided for regular education expenses such as teacher salaries, regular textbooks/library books, capital improvements, renovations, transportaion costs, etc. - in short, things that your taxes should pay for through the regular School Board budget. To date, more than $1.1 million has been provided to over 460 enhanced learning projects at schools and education centres throughout the Limestone district.

We achieve our mission through four major program areas, targeting youth and educators – in both official languages: 1. Science projects and science fairs – science projects in schools and homes; regional science fairs in every province and territory; the weeklong Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF); and Team Canada representing the country at Intel ISEF, MILSET, and other international youth science competitions and events. 2. Smarter Science – a framework, resources, and workshops for teaching and learning science through inquiry for teachers in grades 1-12. 3. SMARTS – our online community for youth and the adults who support them. 4. School Campaigns – Invent the Future and Youth Science Month – national campaigns that provide teachers in 11,000 schools (every school in the country with grades 7-12/Cégep) with information on inquiry, project-based science, science fairs, and the achievements of Canada’s young scientists.

With the generous support of its donors, CODE builds literacy by providing schools and community libraries in developing countries with well-written books that children can relate to, and teachers with the skills they need to bring these books to life.
